As soon as Shaggy got up and left the restaurant, I was alone with Scooby. There was, in front of me, the dog I once admired and now wanted to destroy. It was incredible to have him so close, and a smile spread across my face as I watched him carefully.
—You are a very pretty dog, you know? —I said, almost mocking.
Scooby smiled with that goofy expression he always had, answering in a silly tone:
-Thank you.
I looked into his eyes, restraining myself from revealing the fury and hunger boiling inside me. He had waited so long for this moment. However, I remained silent, watching as Scooby looked around, distracted, without suspecting in the slightest what was about to happen.
Then, the waiter appeared again, bringing a tray full of food that he left in front of Scooby. At the sight of that mountain of saucers, Scooby stood speechless, not knowing what to say.
"Courtesy of the house," the waiter announced with a smile.Scooby looked at the food and then looked around, confused, perhaps looking for Shaggy to share it with. I just smiled and said, in an almost affable tone:
—If I were you, I'd take advantage before it gets cold.
Without a second thought, Scooby began devouring the plates in front of him, oblivious to what was actually happening. I watched every bite I took, waiting for the inevitable effect. It wasn't long before Scooby began to blink, his energy slowly fading.
His body began to sway, and in a matter of seconds, his eyes closed as he fell onto the table, fast asleep.
"Sweet dreams, Uncle Scooby," I whispered, a wicked smile on my face.
