Chapter Fifteen: Nightly Terror

After a long day on set, Y/N finally made his way back to their shared trailer, exhaustion weighing heavily on his shoulders but his heart light at the thought of seeing Jenna. He'd spent hours pouring everything into his scene, the kind that left him emotionally drained but satisfied. As he reached the door, he paused, hearing soft music playing inside, a sign Jenna was relaxing after her own long day.

He opened the door quietly and saw her stretched across the couch, wrapped up in a blanket, scrolling through her phone with a peaceful expression on her face. She looked up when he entered, and her face broke into a warm smile.

"Well, look who finally decided to show up," she teased, setting her phone down. "I was starting to think you got lost."

Y/N chuckled, dropping his bag by the door as he kicked off his shoes. "Blame Josh," he replied with a shrug. "He had a lot of feelings today. Apparently, he's going through some things."

Jenna laughed, sitting up and patting the space next to her. "I heard everyone talking about your scene," she said, an excited gleam in her eyes. "They said you were incredible."

Y/N smiled shyly as he took the seat beside her. "It was intense," he admitted, glancing down at his hands. "I'm just glad it turned out well. It helps having someone like Tara in mind to connect with."

Jenna's gaze softened, pride shining in her eyes as she gently took his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You're amazing," she murmured, resting her head on his shoulder. "You always make everything feel so real."

They sat in comfortable silence for a moment, her head leaning against him, the warmth between them wrapping them in a quiet peace. Outside, the sky was deepening into twilight, casting soft shadows across the trailer, and Y/N felt his fatigue slipping away as they just breathed together.

Breaking the silence, Jenna lifted her head, a playful grin spreading across her face. "So, what's the plan for tonight, Mr. Dramatic Actor?"

He smirked, nudging her shoulder. "How about a movie night? Something light—no tragic romances or gut-wrenching dramas. I think we've both had enough of that for one day."

Jenna laughed, already reaching for the remote. "Agreed. I could use a good laugh."

They settled in, picking a classic comedy they'd both seen a hundred times but could quote by heart. The laughter came easily, and with each scene, the tension from their day faded. Jenna leaned into him, her hand resting lightly over his as they shared popcorn, laughing at the same jokes they always did.

Halfway through the movie, Jenna's eyes started to droop, her head bobbing slightly as she fought to stay awake. Y/N noticed, a gentle smile playing on his lips as he watched her try to keep her eyes open.

"Hey, sleepyhead," he whispered, brushing a strand of hair from her face. "Think it's time for bed?"

She shook her head stubbornly, a small, sleepy pout forming on her lips. "No, I'm fine," she insisted, though her voice was heavy with exhaustion. But barely a minute later, her head slipped from his shoulder, and she dozed off completely, snuggled up against him.

Y/N watched her for a moment, feeling his heart swell as he gently gathered her in his arms. As he stood up, carrying her to the bed, she instinctively wrapped her arms around his neck, murmuring softly as she nestled her face into his chest.

He carefully laid her down, pulling the blanket over her before slipping her shoes off and tucking her in. Jenna stirred slightly, her hand reaching out as if searching for him even in her sleep.
