Oh dear lord, those Hobbits are so annoying! Elijah and I both made it to breakfast late, and the others were already sitting down, eating the food that was gone when we arrived. I snatched Dominic's bagel off his plate and sat down next to Sean, grinning wildly at Dominic's shocked face. "Hey!"

Billy laughed. "Calm down, Mate."

"But she just took my bagel!" I tauntingly took a huge bite and he incredulously pointed at me. Billy did nothing, and gave Elijah a bit of his eggs.

"Where were you guys anyway?" Sean asked, taking the attention away from the sulking and annoyed Dominic.

"Woke up late," Elijah answered with a mouthful of eggs. He really enjoyed the scrambled eggs they usually served for breakfast. I thought they were okay; my mom taught me how to make better eggs, and Elijah loved those too. Boys will eat anything, even if they don't like it.

"Well where did you sleep? You weren't in the trailer when I woke up this morning."

"I fell asleep in Kat's trailer." Dominic gave us a small look.

"You two slept together?" Billy seemed like he just found out the greatest story of the year.

"No!" we both exclaimed together. How rude of them to think that! Dominic raised an eyebrow at us, thinking that we were lying.

"He fell asleep on the table," I explained to them, trying to get the thought out of their heads, "we were talking and eating the rest of the Cheetos."

"Sure you were," replied Billy.

"But we were!" Honestly, I had no idea how that thought even popped in Billy's head. The boy was crazy; why would Elijah and I do something like that?! I thought it was very obvious that we were just friends. It took us a long time to convince them that we didn't sleep together. By then most of the cafeteria was empty, give or take a couple actors scarfing down some food.

Sean finally broke up the discussion. I noticed how he always seemed to break up the silences and discussions, like he was our mediator or something. How useful and kind of him. "Well guys, did you hear that Jackson replaced Aragorn? The new guy is supposed to be coming in a few days."

I couldn't say that I wouldn't miss him, for I barely ever talked to him. I vowed to actually get to know this new guy when he came. I was starting to get to know the other cast members, and I must admit, they were pretty fun. They were so much nicer than I thought they would be. My silly fears of the cast seemed like little meaningless specks in my mind. I was quite goofy for thinking that they would hate me. I guess Elijah was right again. Oh, I hated it when he was!

We finally decided to throw our breakfast plates away and go try on our costumes. We had to go see if they fit, in preparation for filming. We were actually going to start very soon, so everyone had to quickly finish up the finishing touches. As we left, Elijah and I hung back a bit from the line. I quietly grabbed Sean's arm. He turned and stared into our thankful eyes. "Hey, thanks for changing the subject."

Sean smiled at us. "Yeah, no problem. You guys were really bad at defending yourselves anyway."

"You seriously don't think we slept together, right?" I really hoped that the answer was no. Glancing at Elijah I could tell that he hoped so too.

Sean shrugged his shoulders. "A little." He turned around to continue following the inseparable Dominic and Billy, and I sighed at Elijah. Elijah, now a deep red, went with them and I meekly trailed behind. This was turning into the worst day ever.

Mandy was no help either. As she was observing Liliana's travel dress, I told her everything that happened. "I can't believe they would think that!" I finished, huffing as I lifted an arm.

"Yeah..." she slowly replied.

"Yeah what? Why did you say it like that?!"

"Nothing..." She picked up my other arm. "I mean, I sort of agree with them."

"But we're just friends!" I exclaimed. I couldn't understand why they wouldn't listen to me. What annoyed me was that Elijah was barely saying a word, I was basically the one defending us. Did he even care about our friendship?! It didn't seem like it!

"I dunno..."

I scoffed. "If we ever did something like that, you'd be one of the first to know."

"So it will happen?"

"No!" I cried, "I'm just saying, if it ever happened! But it won't!"

"I bet you twenty bucks it will," Dominic replied, striding in with the others. All of them were wearing their travel outfits except for Elijah, who was wearing his wedding outfit.

"What you do want?" I growled, "don't you guys see that I'm busy at the moment?!"

"Our girls had to go ask Jackson something really quick," explained Billy, "so we wanted to see your outfits."

I grumbled as Mandy shoved the next dress in my hands. It was the wedding dress. Oh, why did they have to be stupid and make me crazy right now?! I was far too busy to get entangled with their boyish crap. It seemed as though they knew, but didn't care one bit.

"Oh, go try that on!" excitedly clapped Dominic. I rolled my eyes and went to go change. I decided to take forever to switch my outfits, so the boys would become bored and leave.

Billy banged on the door, making me flinch a bit. "Oi! Come out Kat!" I groaned in annoyance that they wouldn't leave me alone, and finally stormed out. I gave out an exasperated sigh and held my hands at my hips as I glared at their speechless expressions with fire in my eyes. Silence consumed the once loud room while the boys looked me up and down, probably taken aback at my beauty or something. Mandy's loud clap of happiness filled the room and I turned to her, glad that somebody had made some movement with something other than their eyes.

"Oh, that looks incredible! You have to twirl around for me!" I sheepishly smiled, suddenly in a slightly better mood, and obeyed. I felt like a little girl again as I spun and my skirt fluttered about.

"It looks even better than it does on paper," Sean said politely.

"We're going to be the best looking couple in the movie," Elijah proudly told me.

"Well, there's not really any more competition," I reminded him.

"Who cares?!" I think I saw a spark of something unusual in his eyes, but I couldn't tell what it was.

Mandy sighed in content and glared at the boys like I did earlier. "Okay, I want you guys out of here so your Kat here will look even more amazing." They were about to object, but Elijah smiled and convinced them to leave. Mandy chuckled and told me to change into my normal clothes while she went to get her clipboard outside the room. I nodded and started to go, but someone stopped me with the gentle grab of my hand. There was Elijah, staring at me with his thoughtful blue eyes, quickly glancing back to see if the others were still there.

"Y-You look really pretty," he replied, letting go of my arm and shoving his hands in his pockets before taking off with the other Hobbits. I was left alone to watch that now empty space with an open mouth of confusion for a while, until I remembered that I needed to change. I swear, I thought I saw that spark in his eyes again. Hurriedly I went to put on my normal clothes, doing my best to ignore the redness forming on my cheeks and the suddenly weird butterflies in my stomach. What was that all about?
