I couldn't even pay attention during the wedding ceremony. My eyes and mind were only focused on the sparks flickering in Elijah's eyes every couple seconds, making it seem as though his bright, blue eyes contained thousands of little lightning bugs. His thumb soothingly rubbed against my fingers while the man talked, and I smiled at him. I don't even know how I remotely thought he hated me and didn't want to marry me anymore. Dominic was right, I was really overreacting. Elijah loved me too much to let me go.
I saw Elijah's lips move as he said, "I do," but I barely paid any attention to what he was saying. I just really wanted kiss him to confirm our marriage. I couldn't think of anything else except for kissing. Still in my daze, I didn't notice when he finished speaking, patiently waiting to put the ring on my finger.
"Oh," I gasped, and held out my hand for him, feeling the cool metal on my shaking, sweaty finger. Everyone chuckled at my lovestruck behavior and I put his ring on his own finger. It was so odd, to see his usually bare hand with a shiny, silver ring. "I-I do."
Elijah beamed like a bubbling schoolboy when it was announced we were married. He removed the veil from my face and I pounced on him with a firm and passionate kiss, feeling his arms securely hold me tighter. We paid no attention when we broke the kiss, and I bit my lip as I stared in his twinkling, shinning eyes. I couldn't believe it, we were actually married. When I first met him, I never thought this would happen to us. It was all so surreal, so amazing.
Elijah and I had an hour break before the reception, so we could "situate ourselves" for the event. Some brides usually changed into different dresses; however, I decided to stay in mine. I loved it too much to let go, and to me, it didn't feel like a wedding without it. Elijah smiled at the belief as he closed the door of the room where I got ready earlier. I plopped down on the couch, and gave a sigh of relief, kicking off my heels and reliving my swollen feet. I definitely did not like swollen feet on my wedding day.
Elijah joined me right beside my feet, grabbing it and gently massaging them to lessen the pain. My god, he was so sweet and kind for doing that. It felt so good to have his rough hands press down on my feet. I laid back on the couch and closed my eyes, biting my lip in pleasure. "I love you so much, Elijah," I murmured.
Elijah chuckled and kissed my sore toes. "Anything for my little Kitty Kat," he simply answered, making me smile. He was just so perfect in every way. I was so lucky to have him in my life forever. I mean, I kinda already did, but this marriage just validated it.
"A-And I-I'm sorry about coming out late," I included, "I was thinking of Dad...and I got really scared and nervous...and..."
Elijah leaned forward so that his body was on top of mine. He stopped my apology with a firm kiss, and I took a sharp breath. "Don't be sorry," he whispered, his lips lingering a centimeter away from mine, "I'm sorry your dad isn't here. He'd see his beautiful daughter turn into the finest lady in the world." I bet Elijah was trying to make me fall prey to his comforting words. If he did, then he really succeeded.
I slammed my lips against his and wrapped my arms around his neck, clutching his back as he kissed me more fiercely. Man, that little kiss during our ceremony was barely anything. If I could, I would spend an hour there just kissing him, and I'd enjoy every minute of it. Elijah just knew how to give the most amazing kisses.
Elijah nipped at my neck and I moaned. His phone rang nearby and interrupted the quiet panting that filled the room. He groaned and separated his lips from my skin. "God dammit," he muttered. I kept my arms around him as he answered the phone, burying my head in his chest to pass the time. "Hello?"
"Hey, Elijah," a deep, muffled voice said, "it's gonna take thirty minutes to set up. We're already here."
Huh, that voice didn't sound really familiar. I immediately became curious to who it was. "Thanks, man! See you soon!"
