ELIJAH'S POV!!!!
I literally sprinted off the plane and took a cab home. I was so excited to return home to Kitty Kat and Eva. I knew Kat was going through a deep depression every time I went away for filming, and I was glad that she wouldn't have to go through that for a while. Her face always lit up in pure joy whenever I returned home for a little bit, and a deep cloud of despair lingered above her when I left. I loved our phone calls when I was gone in Europe, but I wanted to see her face so badly. I missed her bouncy Irish curls and her soft brown eyes. While filming I never saw such a pretty site. I mean, our location was cool, but I'd rather be with Kat all day.
All that nonstop filming drained me so much. I knew I shouldn't complain in front of Kat, for she went through so much without me. I did suffer from long days and nights, but my running around was probably nothing compared to Kat's. Eva was a lot of work, and even though she barely woke up at night, Kat still had to worry about her a lot. I knew that since I was home for a long time, she could have a break and do a movie or two. I wasn't totally off from movies, because of the movie premieres and film festivals I needed to attend, but I didn't think Kat cared. She was just relieved for any type of break.
I bit my nails as we came closer to our home, suddenly really nervous about coming back. I hoped Kat and I weren't distanced since I was gone for so long. I really did not want our love to die out from our huge separation. I knew some couples lost their spark and marital bliss after their first year, and I was absent for half of ours. Since our wedding, I was only with Kat for about six months or so. That was a lot of time away from my Kitty Kat.
The cab driver dropped me off on the driveway, speeding off and leaving me to stare at our home. Wow, it didn't change a bit. Somehow, Kat found time to plant some new flowers in the midst of the ones we planted after we moved in. It still looked so surreal. I sometimes forgot Kat and I owned a house together. We were both used to communicating through our windows and whiteboards that it was weird to spend every passing second together. I loved it, though. We both did.
I took a deep breath as I stared at the doorknob. My mind debated if I should unlock the door and barge in, or should ring the doorbell and surprise Kat. I finally decided to just go inside, in case Kat was putting Eva down for her nap. I opened the door to the family room, and called out Kat's name. In a split second, I was bombarded with a huge hug. I craned my neck down to see her face squished tightly against my body. I breathed in her familiar scent in content, happy to finally be back where I belonged: in Kat's arms.

My god I was so exhausted. I knew I told Kat I'd get Eva to bed so she could relax, but I fell asleep. I would blame it on the comfy couch, if Kat didn't think it was silly. She was an actress as well; she understood how physically and mentally draining movie projects were. It felt so good to be home after filming in Europe for a long time. I loved filming, I really did; I just loved my two girls more.
I yawned and rubbed my eyes as I walked past the kitchen to the bedrooms upstairs. I chuckled at the leftover pizza on the table, choosing to follow the singing voice down the hallway instead of sitting down and eating the pizza. I couldn't remember the last time I heard Kat singing to Eva. Man, I missed her beautiful, soothing voice so much. I wanted nothing more than to listen to it for hours.
Her voice led me to Eva's room, whose door was slightly ajar. As quietly as possible, in hopes of not disturbing the both of them, I peaked through the small opening. Kat was sitting on the rocking chair, Eva curled up against her chest. I swear, Eva always curled up to us just like her mom did. It made me love Kat even more. Eva gave out a tiny snore and Kat kissed the top of her head, holding her closer as she continued to sing and rock back and forth. Kat's bright curls were tangled up in a messy bun and her baggy t-shirt had some spit stains, but to me, she was so beautiful. My beautiful Irish bride.
