I whistled on my way to the makeup trailer, a big plate filled with everyone's breakfasts in my hands. I could hear them talking, but when I opened the door and walked in, they hushed up in a flash. I was impressed, for it usually took the Hobbits forever to stop talking. And Jackson was there, standing there with the scripts in his hand. That was strange. I guess there were some last minute changes. "Hey guys..." They looked away, especially Elijah, and Jackson turned to face me. "What's going on?" Elijah squirmed in his seat, but Dominic's eyes were shining at me in amusement. That immediately made me concerned and curious.
"I was just telling them that we switched the main scene today." It seemed as though he was trying not to tell me what scene it was. What were they avoiding? I knew that they couldn't keep me in the dark forever. How else were we going to do the main scene?!
I raised an eyebrow at them. "Yeah..." They were starting to annoy me now. I brought them breakfast every day, and this was how they were repaying me?! "What is it?"
"The love scene," whispered Elijah. He quickly started scratching his Hobbit ears, unable to look at me. Oh dear lord, this is what they were so scared about?!
I sighed. "You guys are ridiculous." They were shocked that I wasn't nervous, or at least as nervous as they were. They knew how important our friendship meant to me.
"But you guys never kissed before! Isn't going to be awkward?" Oh, I forgot that they never knew. Oh well, I guess it was good to surprise them.
I was about to tell them, but my mouth slammed shut when I saw Elijah's and Dominic's faces. I guess they wanted to keep it a secret too, which was fine by me. "Look guys," I began, "nothing's even gonna happen! How far can he even go, Jackson?"
Jackson fumbled through the script. "We're going to blow out a candle to end the scene. Elijah can't go past your stomach."
"See you guys!" I exclaimed, "that's barely anything!"
"Wouldn't that be a lot for you," mumbled Billy. Sean nodded in agreement and picked at his Hobbit feet. Dominic's eyes were still grinning at me. It was a wonder that Billy didn't see what I saw in Dominic, for Billy was one of the closest to him.
"Hey, mute monkey," I snapped at Elijah, who immediately glared at me with those blue eyes. Oh god, I wanted to just kiss him right then and there, and shut up everyone in the makeup trailer. I thumped down in my chair and reached over to the counter, grabbing a mint before throwing it at Elijah. He snapped his arms up and caught it without effort. I smirked at him. The others in the trailer suddenly became confused at what was going on. "I don't wanna kiss you with stinky breath, kay?!"
Elijah chuckled and threw the unwrapped mint in his mouth, now in a playful mood. Oh, this was going to be so much fun! Teasing them was one of my favorite pastimes on set.

As we prepared for the scene, fixing up the set and our costumes, a bunch of the other actors came to watch. They loved to see me and Elijah interact in a scene together, but this one was an extra special show for them. I guess it was one of those scenes that everyone HAD to watch being filmed, one of the most important scenes in the film-to the actors at least.
I took a deep breath and shyly smiled at Elijah. Jackson had told us to act casual, like the cameras weren't right in front of our faces. Thank god Elijah wasn't going to undress me or anything, because I would not want the others, especially the Hobbits, to see me like that. This was already more than enough for me.
"Places people, places!" shouted Jackson. All the observers huddled around his screen, eagerly excited to watch us in play. I sighed and I sat down in the chair by the bureau, where Elijah and I were supposed to kiss before he lifted me up and took me to the bed. Elijah stood outside the set, ready to walk in. "Act 20, scene four, take one," Jackson yelled. Cameras readied and the other Hobbits tensed up, unable to anticipate what would unfold before them. "And...ACTION!" The room immediately hushed up, earnest and interested in what would happen.
