Sean was sweating like crazy in the makeup trailer this morning. Today he was filming part of the wedding scene of Samwise and Rosie, when they get married and kissed. Jackson only wanted to focus on the kissing scene though. And to make matters worse for Sean, his family was stopping by to take him out for lunch. It was a disaster for him.
I knew I would be uncomfortable if Elijah did a kissing scene with some other woman, so I knew Christine wouldn't be too pleased with it either. Sean made us promise to him that we weren't going to tell Christine anything besides what he was going to say. I nodded in understanding and he sighed in relief.
My assurance didn't help make the scene any more better. Sean was not getting it right, and the actress was getting a tad annoyed with him. Jackson wanted to finish up the scene before lunch began, but I didn't think it was going to work. Sean was just not in the mood to do this scene, even though he knew that he had to. Something was just not right, and everyone was not happy about it.
Elijah and I tried to offer support and comfort off-camera to cheer him up, and while it helped a little bit, it wasn't enough. After another failed take, Christine and Sean's kids came in, excited to see him. In a split second he masked his dismay and embraced them, willingly following them out. I smiled at them and looked over at Elijah, who gave off that spark again. For the weirdest reason I blushed, and went to the dinning hall.
While eating I told Dominic and Billy of Sean's issue. Dominic was busy and couldn't join us in making Sean feel better, but Billy automatically wanted to help us out. "We should get Viggo too," he suggested, "you know he'll help." That was true, the cast and crew loved him because of his fun, yet serious personality, and he could uplift everyone's spirits in a minute. I don't know why Elijah and I didn't think of that sooner.
Viggo was all for our idea. After lunch Sean was back into his worrisome skin and troubling himself over that scene. The four of us were having fun off-camera pretending to be the wedding audience, waving and silently whooping to Sean. Viggo explained the purpose of our crazy actions perfectly; Sean would be able to relax and do a better job if he was comfortable with his surroundings.
One take was actually pretty good. The actress who played Rosie grinned and threw her flower bouquet at us again, and this time Billy caught it. That's when Viggo did the unexpected. To make everything more jovial and go with the flow, Viggo grabbed Billy's face and kissed him! Elijah and I started laughing as Sean had finally loosened up, and you could tell that Billy was laughing to himself.
"You're making me jealous," joked Sean, who was now in better spirits than earlier. I'm glad that Sean could loosen up because of us. It made me a feel a bit more special.
Elijah leaned over to whisper in my ear. "We shouldn't tell Dominic," he mischievously grinned at me, "you know he'd get so jealous." I laughed and kissed his ear. Dominic was out in town, oblivious to the excitement that swooped down to us.
"That was some interesting kiss," I giggled to Viggo and Billy.
Billy grinned. "I think I saw some stars an' felt some tongue."
Elijah and I laughed and Viggo sheepishly smiled at us, glad to help out a friend in need.

Billy tried to avoid Viggo for a day or two. Dominic couldn't see what the fuss was about, and Elijah and I giggled like crazy over Dominic's cluelessness. It was hilarious to see them like that. Sean was silent, relieved that Christine only believed that the scene was done in one take. She gave him one long kiss when she found out, smug that Sean was so loyal to her. She was right; Sean was one loyal and obedient puppy.
When we were both alone in my trailer one night, Elijah assured me that he was just as committed to me as Sean was to Christine. I scoffed and rested my head on his shoulder. "Just think of all your boyfriends in high school," he chuckled, and I smiled. That was totally true, all those bribes and breakups proved it.
"That makes everything sound so serious," I noted, closing my eyes and slowly drifting off to sleep. Elijah kissed the top of my head and placed his own on top of mine.
All of the drama during the week made me wonder. Would I act like Sean whenever I had to do a kissing scene with another actor? I knew I probably would have to imagine the stranger to be Elijah, but would I be uncomfortable like Sean? The prospect scared me, warning me that our weird relationship was beginning to develop into something dangerous. Right before I succumbed to slumber, I told myself to be more careful and alert to what was going on around me, for my attention had started to slip down a horrible path, and if it went down too deep, then something terrible would happen.
