Eleazar's pov

I woke up and stretched before rolling over and hugging Abby. She hummed and scooted closer to me as I kissed the back of her head.

"What time did she go back to sleep?" I asked her softly.

"... two hours ago,"

My eyes snapped open as I realized we had only slept for two hours and were already waking up, "Merlin's beard,"

"I know, I don't feel that tired though," she admitted.

"Same, should we... get up?"

"I'll put on tea" she sighed as she started to get up.

I hurried to my feet first and laid her back down, "no I'll  do it, you had a baby a week ago. Willa said you'd be sore for a while,"

Abigail sighed but smiled at me gratefully, "thank you, I would like-"

"Jasmine tea! And you want brown sugar because when mum told you she puts that in her coffee you said it blew your mind,"

Abby giggled, "it did,"

"And you the cream warmed up slightly," I kissed her nose once I re-tucked her in to bed.

"You're too good to me, I did try to kill you once," Abby teased.

"Yeah, I didn't care. You could try now and I wouldn't even notice." She let out a soft snort as I walked out of our bedroom and towards the kitchen.

I softly walked past Cordelia's room.  I didn't want to wake her or disrupt the protection spell I put around her room. I did lean my ear against the door and waited till I heard her soft breath as she slept.

After that I walked into the kitchen and started the kettle on the stove. I glanced out the window in the kitchen and was a little startled when I saw Hogsmead villagers walking past.

Definitely had to remind myself that I'm no longer in a tiny hamlet where no one goes often. I leaned in closer watching students walk towards the school and their parents walking to their respective shops.

I got quick flash backs when it was my turn to go back in time with Anne and I helped the past Ava defeat trolls in the middle of town. I remembered the tailor pulling at my uniform to get my correct size for clothes. I wonder how that Ava is... I don't go back nearly as much as the older me did.

"Love?" Abby asked pulling me from my mind.

"Why are you out of bed?" I asked her, concerned. She pointed to the kettle that was screaming. "Oh shit," I quickly took. It off and we both listened to make sure Cordy was still asleep.

We both relaxed at the silence and Abby grabbed two mugs. "Where has your mind gone?" She asked.

"I'm thinking about the Ava who helped me when I was little... I don't remember the last time I saw her,"

Abby reached up and played with my hair gently as I poured her tea and put my mug back because I was definitely not going to drink tea.

"You want to go check on her..." she always could tell what I was thinking. "You shouldn't feel too bad... you've been admittedly busy."

"Older me could do it,"

"Older you didn't have a baby. And he was just a keeper of his time... he wasn't interdenominational like you and Annie are."  She got on her toes and kissed the side of my head, "go,"

"I have to-"

"Eleazar,"  I almost got the chills at how she said my name. I side eyed her so my she couldn't see how red my cheeks got, "go see your past mum,"
