Sebastian's pov
Another damn town!
I kicked a box near by and cursed. I quickly pulled my notebook out and started writing everything I saw down. It was all exactly the same. How was I missing something?
As I waited for the miasma to die down so I could investigate I heard something digging through some discarded clipping and bad picks from the field.
Pulling my wand out I walk up slowly just in case it's not something good. I felt myself getting nervous for some reason.
I finally stood over the pile of trash and quickly lifted the piece of wood on top.
I stopped when I saw what was digging around. "Oh,"

Ava's pov
Present day
Fuck this.
I groaned as I tried to lift myself up. I got one arm up fully and tried to pull the rest of myself up. I almost got a leg on but as my foot hooked around the edge it slipped off making me start to fall over.
a yelp escaped my mouth as I realized I was going down. But before I could fully fall over something bit my arm and started to pull.
I couldn't see what it was from the angle I was in but I let it help me get up. As I finally climbed over I let myself fall on my back. My limps were so sore. As I tried to even out my breath a giant dog head looked down at me.
"Uh...." Was all I could get out before having to scramble out of the way as it started drooling. I think I'd seen the breed before.
A Bernese moutain dog I think they were called. This guy was easily two hundred pounds.
"Thanks?" I mumbled as I pet him. He made a grumbling sound which I took as a 'you're welcome.'
I looked around and sighed. Eve had taken my wand. Well... I hadn't had a good walk in minute and I was a little too sore to aparate at the moment.
I looked back at the beast of a dog and waved, "go home," I said firmly before getting on the path and starting my way down the mountain.
I walked for at least five minutes before realizing the dog was following me still. I stopped walked and looked down at him.
As he watched me stopped he also stopped as sat before looking up at me with his big eyes and panting. I know I've always wanted a dog but this guy has to being to someone. Through his fur I can see a brown leather collar. I lift it and see a brass name tag dangling on the ends
'Alfie'
"Alfie," the dogs tail started wagging as I spoke his name. He scooted closer to me but staying in a sitting position. As he leaned on me with all his weight I had to catch myself from falling over.
Petting his head I thought to myself of how Sebastian would react if I brought home a bear of a dog. I'm not sure if this Sebastian liked dogs..
"Do you have an owner?" He whined. "Hmmm... I mean, I guess you can come. But if we find your parents you gotta go with them," I said as if he understood.
He barked and his tail started wagging again. We both started down the hill again this time with him staying right next to me and whining when I would remove my hand from the top of his head.
"You're really needy.."
He huffed in agreement but didn't let me stop petting his head.
We were close to a hamlet when I heard a soft whistle. I glanced at Alfie but he hadn't reacted which told that it was one of mine. I whistled back and before I even finished Sebastian was appearing in front of me and hugging me tightly.
