Sebastian's pov
"Ava, I got your favorite! Potato cream soup for dinner. You think you can hold stuff down today?" I opened the front door to the cottage but it was quiet.
I put the food on the table and tried to see if I could hear Ava's soft snoring. She had been getting more tired as we grew closer to the babies due date.
"Ava?"
As if she was trying to answer back I heard her cry out from the bedroom. I hurried in and found her holding on the end of the bed frame in her night gown. Her face and auburn hair was so sweaty and she stood with her eyes squeezed shut.
"Already?" I asked starting rolling up my sleeves.
"It's too early!" She cried out as I stood next to her. "The baby can't come out two months early," she begged.
"My love, there is nothing we can do, if the baby's coming the baby is coming." I tried to move her to lay down but she smacked my hand away.
"I'm afraid something will happen if I walk." She sobbed. I pushed her hair out of her face and kissed her forehead.
"I'm not making you walk anywhere," I slowly lifted her and laid her down so she was on the bed. I pulled my wand out and waved it starting the kettle boiling in the other room. "I'm going to grab more towels okay?"
She nodded and she laid back into the pillow. I hurried through the small cottage searching every cabinet and grabbing anything that looked like a towel and pouring the now warm water into a bowl and hurrying back into the bed room.
"Okay, I'm ready to catch this kid..." I looked up and saw Ava asleep on the bed her breathing didn't seem as strong as before. "Ava?" I dropped the towels on the ground and tried not to drop the water as I rushed over to her side.
"Ava!" I shook her shoulder but she just slumped when I touched her. "No! No!" I started trying to check her pulse but only panicked more when I hardly felt anything. "My love..." I Ran my hands through my hair as I took a step back realizing she was gone. I could my heart dropping as I started to struggle to breath.
I lifted her hand and kissed it over and over and kissed her face. The was suddenly movement which made me jump back. I stared at Ava hoping she'd move but that when I heard the small cry.
I slowly lifted the edge of Ava's gown and saw a very small baby. I tried to act fast and look around for a knife or something to cut the umbilical cord. I found an old pocket knife and quickly cut it and wrapped the baby in a towel.
"Ava, you had boy!" I said trying to blink away the tears. I tried turning my cries into a laugh as I brushed the babies hair from its face. "He's cutie, just a little tiny." I looked at Ava slowly remember that she was not here anymore...
"I love you so much Ava... I'll raise him just how you want to okay?" With the baby now calm in one arm I leaned down and kissed Ava's head. "I'll... I'll..." I had to leave the room.
"Sebastian!" Poppy's voice surprised me. I heard her open the door and come straight in to the room where she stopped and looked at as her heart started to break.
"Sebastian get the baby out of here," she said as she pulled out of the room.
"No, I have to... Ava," I tried to look at Ava again.
