Ava's pov

The other version of my father and I stared at each other in silence for at least three minutes before I finally spoke.

"You know me?" I asked him.

"Of course I do," he swallowed, "why do you sound like that?"

"Like what?"

"American,"

"...I'm... I'm American," I looked around to see if someone was pranking me. "So you knew Ava in this world?"

"This world? You're my daughter," he ran his fingers through his hair, "is Sebastian trying his hand at necromancy?"

I laughed a bit, "funny you say that, my son has been accused of attempting that in the past,"

Émile shakes his head still not understanding. "Sebastian went missing a few years ago, and now you..."

"Ah, yeah. That might be my fault. He's okay. He's just in my world."

He walked up to me and took my shoulders. "Are you my daughter?"

I smiled at him sadly, "I'm covered in battle scars and my hair is white.. I think you know the answer. I'll be honest though, I didn't expect you to know who I was."

"Why not?" He asked as he stepped back from me.

"You died before I was born in my world. And when I met you in another world you didn't have children."

I began walking towards the entrance of Feldcroft with Émile close behind. "Well in this 'world' I'm the proud father of two,"

I slowed my pace and turned to look at him. "Two?"

Sebastian's pov

"Now before I say this please note I'm a messenger and have no power over my sister," Marc announced as I walked out of Ava's classroom. I had been trying to look for her but hadn't had any luck.

"Speaking of, have you seen her?"

Marc nodded, "that's the news. I've been looking for her too and a student I spoke to said she entered into a grey door that then disappeared."

"Gray? That's my world?"

I walked into the library finding Anne standing at a table with her eyes glowing blue. I tapped her shoulder and she snapped out of it screaming for a second when she saw me suddenly in front of her.

"Did you happen to see your mother?" I asked as I calmed her down.

She took a few deep breaths before nodding. "She's with grandpa. Don't ask me which one they all look the same," she fanned herself as she finally calmed down. "She's shocked he knows who she is."

"That's my world then. Should I go get her?"

Anne shook her head, "no she'll come back. Just let her do what she has to do." Anne looked around at her empty library. "She needs a breaks it seems."

Anne wasn't wrong. "How are you?" I asked my daughter.

She shrugged, looking exactly like her mother. "Not my first life threatening villain. We kill them and move on," I opened my mouth and she spoke over me, "and no, there has been no luck finding the sword of Gryffindor. You may need to just kill your ex with a normal sword."

I rolled my eyes but nodded. "Thank you, Anne." I turned to leave but stopped and looked at her again. "Does your mum seem... happy with me?"

Anne furrowed her eyebrows a bit as she took in the question, "yeah... she does. Why?"
