Eleazar's pov

Abby and I both shot up as Cordelia started crying. Her little bassinet was at the foot of our bed. I could see her little tiny hand reach up as she threw a fit.

I patted Abby on the shoulder, "I'll get her," I mumbled. She nodded and almost immediately dropped back to her pillow as I climbed out of bed. I walked up to Cordy and picked her up in my arms. Her face was all red from yelling.

"There's milk in the ice chest," Abby mumbled before officially falling back asleep.

While gently bouncing Cordy in my arms I walked to the kitchen. As I walked in I slid to a stop as dad stood in the middle of the kitchen pretending to be opening cabinet doors. It was like he was pretending to be busy.

I glanced at the clock reading it said three am.

"Dad," I whispered, scaring the shit out of him.

"Oh, El," he looked at the baby in my arms, "is she okay?"

"Are you okay?" I asked back.

His cheeks turned red, "I uh.. forgot which door the mugs were in. I keep thinking about my old memories... it's getting confusing."

"Far Left door bottom shelf so mum can reach,"  I grabbed the milk from the ice chest and went to the stove.

"You have to heat it up," dad said quickly.

I looked at him trying to hide how offended I was, "I'm aware," Dad sighed and looked at his arm. "Were you able to recreate it?" I asked him.

He shook his head, "I've been up all night trying..." something else seemed to be bugging him.

"What ever she said to you in there," he looked at me. "She said it to make you mad, so you shouldn't take it to heart."

"But she admitted to killing them..." he said softly.

The bottle finished and I began to feed Cordelia. "Well she's dead right?"

He poured himself a cup of tea and joined me in the living room. We both sat on the couch as he sighed. "The tower collapsed with her in it.. but I'm not sure. They are still going through the rubble,"

We both looked at the dog who was asleep but had his head towards the door in case someone came in. "He's really big," I mumbled.

"Yeah... I kinda fed him a lot,"

"Is he over weight?"

Alfie groaned and rolled on his back, "well... probably,"

Alfie jumped awake suddenly but instead of growling at the door he walked up to it with his tail dad and I stood up but both relaxed when mum rushed through the door.

Dad did a double take towards her and the door to their bedroom. "Have you not been in bed this whole time?"

She looked at him like he was crazy, "no? I wrote Poppy,"

"No! I can handle-" dad started to say when there was a knock at the door. Mum went to open it but Aunt Poppy opened the door and hugged her.

"Are you okay?" Poppy asked mum. Mum smiled and nodded as she hugged her best friend.

Uncle Ominis came in after, "Sebastian," he called.

"Right here, mate," dad sighed as Ominis walked up to him.

"Show me,"

My dad rolled his eyes, "you're blind,"

"Show Poppy," Ominis corrected himself.
