Verity hoped junior year would be great. She heard all of JV is moving to varsity and there are new players coming in for JV.

She was excited to see everybody again.

Justin spent the whole summer with Bryce in Detroit. He got along well with Rosalie and Anthony.

Aneli got a break from the cameras and campaigns and relaxed with her brothers during the summer.

Diane was AWOL most of summer and nobody really knew where she was. Well, they knew she was someone in Chicago, but that was pretty much it.

Mindy and Demarcus spent the three months together in upstate Minnesota with their aunt and uncle.

Fred was in Hawaii with his family most of summer, before going back to El Paso, Texas.

Trey spent most of summer in his home of Burlington, Vermont. He didn't do much besides summer reading and talking with Verity.

Matthew and Zach went on a roadtrip together during summer, picking up Nathan and Lucas too.

Skills worked a summer job in his family's restaurant and kept up with most of the Ducks.

Damian and Randy coincidentally both went to Miami with their families and hung out together.

Sean was working at his summer job at an ice rink and didn't really see anyone besides Keenan.

Keenan didn't do anything for summer except for occasionally seeing Sean at his job.

Josue got to go around with his dad for modeling gigs half the summer and sent the other half in their Hollywood mansion watching his younger siblings.

Now Verity stayed in Salem her whole summer. She told her family about Trey and they got to talk over the phone a lot. Kataryna was the most excited about Verity getting a boyfriend, Nokoa wasn't as thrilled.

Vivienne was equally divided about that but didn't mind as much.

"Bye, mom!" Verity smiled at her mother. "Good luck with your case."

Vivienne stiffened a bit. "Speaking of my new case, I didn't exactly tell you what it was." Verity closed the car door. "So you know how I'm a lawyer right?"

"Mom, what is it?" Verity was getting scared.

Vivienne sighed. "My boss assigned me as a future parole officer for... your dad."

Verity was stunned. "WHAT!? I thought dad didn't get out until like, next year?"

"The jail was saying he might get out nine months earlier due to good behavior." She continued. "If that's true he'll get out next month."

Verity smiled. "Mom, don't mess with me. Is this for real?"

"Yeah." Vivienne popped the trunk. "Don't let this cloud that brilliant mind of yours though, V."

She got out of the car and walked to the back. Verity got out and followed her. She got bombarded by a hug. "Vity!"

"Nells!" Verity smiled at her best friend. "It's nice to see you."

Vivienne dropped the luggage on the floor. "Hi, Aneli Moreau." She waved to Aneli. "Tell your mom I say hi."

"Will do Ms. Astor." Aneli waves back. "Come on, V, everyone is here already! Oh, right. Bye, Ms. Astor!"

Verity picked up the bags. "Bye, mom." Aneli started dragging her friend inside the old school. "Can we stop by my dorm first?"

"That reminds me." Aneli stopped in her tracks. "We're roomies again!" She squealed. "The whole team got moved to Varsity Hall!"
