"Wyatt and I have been talking a bit and he asked me to be his date for Homecoming. That means you also need a date so you come with us. I know we've planned on going to the movies that night buuuuut.."
Miranda blinked multiple times at me across the table. "I'm so glad you and Wyatt are back together. I hated when you were fighting all the time."
"I'm glad too. It sucked, right?" Wyatt said while he took a seat next to Miranda.
"And Maddie needs a date for Homecoming. We can't go without her." Miranda said smiling to Wyatt.
"I'm sure Maddie will get a date if she wants to."
"There's really anyone who I wanna go with." I said.
"But it won't be fun without you" Miranda said with puppy eyes. "Come on Maddie, it's been 6 months since Jay moved away. We miss him too, but now he's gone. You need to start dating other people."
"It isn't because of Jay. There's no one I really wanna go with."
"What a shame you get to spend every night with Leif and you don't even like him. I just don't understand it." Wyatt looked at Miranda with his eyes wide open.
"What the fuck did you just say?"
"Oh, stop it Wyatt, you know that I love you." She playfully punched his arm and they kissed.
Awkward.
"I'm just saying that it'd be a great opportunity if you made an effort on trying to like Leif." Miranda said after disgustingly kissing Wyatt.
"It's not that I don't like Leif, well, at least not now. I was wrong about him. Although, I'm not crazy for him as everyone else is." I looked at Miranda expecting her to be surprised about what I said.
She was surprised, but not because of what I've said.
He's right behind me isn't he.
"Well, I'm glad you're not crazy for me. One less thing to worry about." I heard Leif's voice behind me.
i'm sorry it's a filler chapter but it'll get better i swear ❤
