Chapter 1096 - Avenging Devil

"While my friends here are taking care of you, your wife, and daughter, I'll take back everything that my grandfather, father, and I have given your branch family," Lisa said in a soft yet sinister voice. "Everything."

Geo continued shaking while holding on to Lisa's hand that was forcefully gripping his hair.

"You'll watch as all the wealth you accumulated through the years thanks to the generosity of my grandfather, father, and me disappears right in front of your eyes. Get a piece of Manoban Corporation? Not in your life!"

Lisa finally let go of the older man's hair and pushed him away from him. Then he stood up and looked down on the pathetic traitor.

"It has come to my attention that you have stashed away a great portion of your wealth to an offshore bank account in the Cayman Islands. I'm sure that everything in that bank account is also thanks to your status as a member of my clan and your position at Manoban Corporation. Now that you're no longer both, I'm taking everything from that offshore bank account as well."

Horror warped Geo's already misshapen face. "H-how did you know about that bank account?! I didn't even tell my wife about it. So how?!"

"I have my ways."

"N-no! Lisa, that money...it has nothing to with Manoban Corporation! I accumulated the money through legal means! I earned it on my own, not through Manoban Corporation. I swear!"

Lisa nodded. "Indeed, you earned it through legal means. By exploiting the loopholes of the system. It is legal but by no means ethical. As for earning it outside of the Corporation, tell me, Geo. Without the Corporation and my clan, will you be able to obtain the status and wealth that you and your family have been enjoying? You are nothing, nobody, without my grandfather, father and me! Stamp that in your narrow mind. Everything you own is thanks to us! Now I'm taking all of it back!"

"No!"

It seemed that the mere mention of the possible loss of his hidden wealth injected additional energy to Geo. He stood up and tried to grab Lisa, but like before, he was kicked away without any mercy. Geo, however, picked himself up again from the floor and tried to stand but was too injured to do so. He could only struggle in a half-standing, half-kneeling position.

"You can't! Even if you're Lisa Manoban and have powerful connections, you won't be able to access my offshore bank account! The Cayman Islands have strict privacy provisions to prevent any other people aside from me from accessing it!"

For the first time since entering the cell, Lisa smiled but there was no humour in it, not even a hint, just pure cold mockery. "Watch me."

With three of the most powerful hackers in the world belonging to his family, what did he need to worry about accessing the offshore bank account?

He turned to leave but just as he reached the door, he stopped and turned around again to face the despairing Geo.

"Oh, I almost forgot to tell you."

Geo looked at him with trepidation.

"You know the four young men who helped Rose Young in her plot against me? The ones who escaped in a van? They were rescued by an unknown group which I assume to be the Youngs' backers. You know that, right?"

Geo only continued staring at him.

"Right?" Lisa asked again in a more forceful tone.

"Y-yes!"

Lisa nodded, pretending to be satisfied by his answer. "I suppose that you intended to rescue them alongside Diana but you got taken by my friends here instead. Well, that unknown group successfully rescued them but...."

"B-but?"

"But..." Lisa sighed, shaking his head. "Poor men. They were still so young. They're only a year or two older than my wife."

"What h-happened?"

"Hm. They're dead. All four of them."

Geo was shocked but the shock didn't last for too long. He didn't really care about those four young men. He was more worried about his own safety and that of his daughter and wife. So what if those four young men were dead? They were strangers to him, anyway.

"I see that you don't care. Ah, but you see, Geo. After my friends here are done with you, I'm going to have them send you and your family to that unknown group who murdered them."

The older man's eyes widened but Lisa didn't give him a chance to react to what he said. Not yet.

"The unknown group must have murdered those four young men because they knew too much, not a lot really, but enough for them to be killed like it's nothing. And I'm sure that you, Geo, must know a lot more than those four. After all, you've been very close with Romeo Young and his despicable parasitic family for years."

Lisa looked at the older man straight in the eyes. "Do you think that the unknown group backing the Youngs will let you off after all this? You're no longer useful to them since I'm taking everything back from you. If they can murder those four just like that, what do you think will happen to you if my friends here send you to them on a silver platter?"

"Lisa Manoban, you devil!"

Geo lunged at him but Lisa karate-kicked him. He flew back and hit the wall before crumpling to the floor like a broken doll. Despite this, Geo glared at Lisa, his eyes wild with near insanity.

"Murder! You're going to murder me, your aunt and your cousin! Devil! You'll go to hell!"

"My hands are clean. I already told you that I won't dirty my hands for scum like you. I'll leave it to others to do the dirty work. And for your information, you're the one who's going to hell, you damn traitor."

Lisa opened the door but still glanced back at the hysterical older man. "Enjoy the hospitality of my friends here."

Then he left the cell, feeling like a devil just like what Geo accused him.

An avenging devil.

He didn't mind it. If this was what it took to protect his wife and their family, then he would gladly become a devil.
