Confusion and dread filled Jisoo. Although she didn't know exactly what was going on, she was already beginning to have an idea based on what she was seeing so far and how serious Jiyong acted. She took a few deep breaths in a difficult attempt to calm herself down. Then she gave him a shaky smile.
"You can trust me, Nikolai," she whispered before leaning forward to press her lips against his lips.
There was no lust in the kiss. This time, it was a way to reassure each other.
"Jisoo."
"Y-yes?"
"I'm going to show you a glimpse of the real me today. If after this, you decide that you don't want to have anything to do with me anymore, I'll let you go. And if you also decide to reveal what you see here today to others, I'll have to disappear."
Her heart jumped. "What do you mean by you'll have to disappear?"
"You won't see me again. Ever."
"No!" She jumped into his arms and hugged his neck tightly as if she never wanted to let him go. "Don't disappear, Nikolai. Please!"
He sighed and wrapped his arms around her, embracing her close to him. "Let me show you inside first. Then you can decide if you still want me."
She was reluctant to let go of his neck, feeling afraid that he would really disappear from her life forever, but she still forced herself to let go and nod. "Okay."
As soon as they stepped out of the car, the armed people greeted them.
"Welcome back, Boss!"
"Hello, Miss Jisoo!"
Jisoo was startled upon hearing her name. She glanced at the stoic Jiyong.
He said, "They know that you're my girlfriend. Shun and Robin are their comrades."
"Oh." She now understood but not completely.
Everything was still very confusing for her. And scary. Really scary.
Since they were greeting her, she couldn't just ignore them. "H-hello...."
They nodded at her, acting very respectful. No, their respect wasn't actually directed at her but the intimidating man walking beside her. Since she was together with Jiyong, their boss, they had no choice but to treat her with courtesy even though each and every one of them looked like they could crush her easily with their bare hands. They all looked very strong, even the thin ones.
The front entrance to the warehouse opened. She saw familiar faces waiting inside.
"Robin! Shun!"
The partners smiled at her.
"Good to see you again, Miss Jisoo."
"Welcome back, Boss."
Jisoo was about to ask them some questions when she saw that the two were also armed with guns. She couldn't stop herself from sticking closer to Jiyong.
Shun and Robin pretended not to notice her frightened reaction and followed the couple as they walked deeper inside.

Dragon Palace Home #10.
Jennie groaned and then sighed in satisfaction while her husband was giving her a gentle massage to keep the blood flowing and to prevent her body from becoming too stiff while she remained in complete bed rest.
Lisa expertly applied just the right amount of pressure on her legs, making sure to gauge her reactions and adjust the force accordingly.
When it was over, Jennie felt like warm, melted butter. Although it sucked that she and her husband were not allowed to have sex during her bed rest, enjoying a massage from him was the next best thing.
"Thanks, hon."
"My pleasure, love." He gave her a light kiss on the lips. "We're going to have some visitors later."
She tilted her head to the side. "Who?"
"You'll see," he said with a mysterious smile.
She pouted but didn't bother asking him again. She felt so relaxed from his massage that all she wanted was to cuddle with her husband right now. She didn't feel too curious about their visitors, whoever they might be.
Lisa joined her on the bed for the cuddle that she wanted. At that moment, a black cat appeared on the screen of the tablet propped on the bedside table.
"Mother, Father. Luka has something interesting to report."
"What is it?" Lisa asked.
Jennie also looked at their cat AI son with expectant eyes.
"Uncle brought Aunt Jisoo to Shadow Winds headquarters."
"What?" Jennie was shocked.
Lisa's eyebrows rose in surprise as well.
Then without any guilt or whatsoever, Luka spilled to his parents how his Uncle asked him, the nephew, for relationship advice yesterday. Lisa choked on laughter but he quickly disguised it as a cough. Jennie looked even more shocked and in disbelief.
"Did that really happen?" She wouldn't say that her AI son was a liar but Luka already had a history of twisting the truth to suit his own purposes before.
"Luka is telling the truth, Mother."
The tablet screen flickered and it showed a series of live surveillance videos taken by several cameras. Both Jennie and Lisa immediately recognized the place as the Shadow Winds headquarters. They watched as Jiyong led a timid Jisoo inside.
"If I'm not seeing this with my own eyes, I'll find this very hard to believe," Jennie said. Her shock was gradually transforming into awed intrigue.
For his part, Lisa now looked calmer. "Your brother has fallen."
"Fallen in love."
"En."
"I can't believe that my brother is revealing Shadow Winds to his lover." Jennie sighed. "He has never treated any woman like this before."
"Love can change people. I changed a lot when I fell in love with you." Lisa rubbed his lips on her forehead. "For the better."
"I know." She smiled before focusing on watching the surveillance videos again. "Big Sister Jisoo doesn't look too good."
Lisa agreed. "She looks scared."
Jennie nodded. "Luka, that's enough."
"Understood, Mother." The tablet screen flickered. The surveillance videos disappeared and showed the fluffy, black cat AI again.
Although Jennie was curious, she didn't want to encroach on her brother's privacy too much without his permission.
"Both of them are adults. They can handle their own affairs. If Big Brother made this decision, then he has to bear the consequences. But one thing is for sure. Jisoo's life will change after this. A lot."
