(Y/N) could only gape at Ferid after the words that would strike disgust and horror into anyone slipped past his teeth, appalled.
"Hm?" Ferid tilted his head with a haunting grin, tapping a finger against his chin as the other wrapped around his torso for support of his elbow. "Look at that face. It seems you didn't know that that meal which you just consumed was human meat. Of course, the water was tainted with human blood too, just so you're aware."
(Y/N) let out shuddering breaths.
He has to be joking!
If he isn't...
Letting her wavering gaze lower to the empty plate she had licked clean, she felt her throat constrict as tears steadily built up. Placing a hand over her mouth to stop the bike that threatened to rise at any moment, her other hand curling into a fist by her side, she glared up with stinging eyes at Ferid with so much animosity it somehow made his excited grin widen if that were possible.
"Can't you just realize what position you're in?" He questioned with a relaxed and nonchalant hum which reverberated from his throat. "That look in your eyes is very... fascinating. I wonder what I can do to snuff it out."
At his comment, pure anger flashed through her body which had her practically launch herself at the bars to swipe at him. Her nails nearly raked off his pendants if he hadn't stepped away in time due to his honed reflexes, his eyes widening in surprise however his grin never faltering. In fact, he seemed more so entertained by her actions rather than threatened, as if something so harmless had tried to attack him.
"Why are you doing this?" (Y/N) hissed, her (E/C) eyes burning with a type of anger Ferid had never seen before. "How can you think it's okay to feed me parts of a fucking human, you monster!?"
Ferid's eyes flashed.
A monster, hm?
This is honestly the first time I've ever heard my pet speak its mind other than screaming, crying,and wishing for release.
I'm getting somewhere.
The neutrality of his expression broke as he once more grinned, stepping closer until he was almost nose to nose with her. Tension spiked between them until she jerked her head away uncomfortably, something about how close he was unnerving her greatly even if there were bars between them. The way he stared at her as if she were but an experiment to him left her feeling cold, knowing that he could do anything to her and not feel a shred of remorse.
"This is quite interesting," Ferid murmured, his eyes slitting while his smile remained sinister. "You've finally reacted, livestock."
Clutching her arms to her chest, (Y/N) merely glared Ferid down instead of giving him the satisfaction of an answer, pacing around like a caged animal—which she practically was—while he merely looked on with not so hidden pleasure. It was enough to made her nose wrinkle and her lips pull back into a snarl, embodying her role as said animal despite wishing for anything but.
"Since you're so confused like the stupid human that you are, I'll break it down for you," Ferid continued, his words making (Y/N) want to bite back before she held her tongue, knowing she shouldn't. "This—keeping you—is all just a... personal interest of mine." Sliding his gloved fingers up and down the iron bars, taunting her, he uttered, "You're but an experiment to see why no vampire can sense you, especially since your blood is so horrid."
(Y/N) ground her teeth.
There it is again.
They commented that my blood is bad.
Why?
Because I'm not from this world...? Or is it because of another reason entirely?
"You look irritated, amused, and like you were just beaten... well, I guess the latter is pretty true," Ferid laughed, enjoying the flower (Y/N) gave him. "See? You're interesting, livestock. Your reactions are so funny. I intend to make use of you until you're not, so I suggest you prepare yourself."
As his shadow loomed over her, his grin jagged and his eyes flashing red, (Y/N) felt dread seep into every pore of her body upon his steady advance. It was then that she mysteriously blacked out before waking up lost in a huge, twisted maze that she had found herself in upon waking up, having been drugged from the human meat laced meal, a cold sweat breaking at her temple and trailing a thin line down her back upon the realization. As she staggered upwards, not knowing where she was, all that resounded throughout her was the urge to escape. Running down the corridors, she couldn't understand where she was going, which way, how, or why, but from her gut feeling that if she stopped, she would die, she didn't care.
She knew this was but a game to Ferid. He probably saw her as a toy, a mouse to his cat, that he could play with until he was bored. In hindsight, he was probably doing this because of said boredom, enjoying the ways he could play with her as his own personal pet as given to him by Krul.
How (Y/N) loathed him.
It didn't take long until the endless corridors that she was stuck in ended in a dead end.
"Shit," she muttered as she rested her hand against the cold stone, worry and paranoia crashing through her like a tidal wave.
Entrapped in pure darkness, she had to run her fingers across the walls to have a slight understanding of where she was going, knowing that any sort of sound louder than a whisper would surely draw unwanted attention. Something was hunting her. She didn't know if it was a vampire, an animal, or maybe even another human. She didn't know if it was Ferid or some other monstrosity. All she knew was that it was coming for her, and whatever sick game of Ferid's that she was thrown in to would likely only result in her loss.
She bit her tongue until the vomit-inducing taste of blood spread along her tongue and teeth, trying to drown out her worries. Finally, she stopped running, letting her hands rest against her knees before wiping away the sweat trailing off her chin.
