Jiangcheng International Finance Shopping Center. The air hung heavy with the scent of perfume and freshly baked pastries, a stark contrast to the chilling scene unfolding in front of a boutique clothing store. A woman screamed, a piercing, high-pitched cry that cut through the mall's usual hum. Her face, usually so vibrant, was now a mask of fear, her eyes wide and pleading. A young boy, his face contorted with a mixture of rage and despair, held her tightly, his arm like a vise around her waist. A dark, cold glint emanated from the pistol pressed against her temple.

"Don't come here!" The boy's voice was a raw, guttural growl, laced with a desperation that sent shivers down the spines of those who heard it. "Don't come any closer! I'll shoot her! I can't live, and she doesn't want to live either!" He squeezed her tighter, his voice rising to a frenzied pitch. "Don't come here!!!!"

The police, their faces grim and their hands hovering near their holsters, retreated cautiously, their voices calm but firm. "Stay calm, sir. We're here to help."

Ning Cheng arrived at the scene, his heart pounding in his chest. The mall was surrounded by a long cordon, a stark barrier between the chaos inside and the relative calm outside. Armed police officers, their faces etched with seriousness, stood behind sandbags, their rifles trained on the hostage-taker.

"Sir, this is a hostage situation. You can't enter. Please leave," one of the officers said, his voice clipped and urgent.

"I'm a police officer," Ning Cheng said, showing his credentials.

"It's no use, Officer. This isn't a criminal case. There could be a shootout. For your safety, please step back and let us handle this," the officer said, his voice unwavering.

Ning Cheng stared at the girl, her face pale and tear-streaked, her eyes filled with a desperate plea for help. He couldn't leave her. He had to try.

"I think I can help," he said, his voice resolute.

"You? Are you crazy?" The officer scoffed. "This is a suicide situation. You can't just walk in there!"

Just then, a voice cut through the tension. "Let him in."

Ning Cheng turned to see Zhou Ziyan, her face grim, a sniper rifle slung over her shoulder.

"Team Zhou, why are you here?"

"I was called by a friend from the armed police to help. How about you, aren't you being interviewed? How did you get here?"

"The interview is over!" Ning Cheng glanced at the sniper rifle in Zhou Ziyan's hand strangely: "You can snipe?"

"Why, look down on me, it's weird that I can shoot?"

Zhou Ziyan chuckled: "Don't think that your ability is strong, you can question me casually, you are far worse than me!"

Ning Cheng smiled slightly, too lazy to explain.

"What's the situation now, why is there a gun hijacking incident?"

Zhou Ziyan looked at the hijacker and sighed, "A very tragic story."

"The man and woman were originally boyfriend and girlfriend friends, but the girl changed her mind and cheated. After the boy found out that the girl was cheating, he followed him to the mall!"

"The boy saw the cheating object next to the girl, and he took out a gun and killed him!"

"The boy still has a lot of love for the girl in his heart. He wants to kill the girl, but he can't do it. He simply wants to take the girl to the end of the world!"

"But this kind of thinking is impossible. Our police rushed there and surrounded him directly!"

"Now boys and girls are in a state of collapse. We have used negotiating experts, but it's useless and can't be relieved. There's no other way!"
