"What—"

"Can you find the suspect?"

"Ning Cheng, you're joking! How can you handle this workload alone in one night?" Zhou Ziyan glared at Ning Cheng, suspicion filling her eyes.

Several colleagues who admired Ning Cheng shared her doubts. His skills were impressive, but watching a week's worth of surveillance footage by himself seemed impossible.

"I'm not joking about this!" Ning Cheng replied with a calm smile. He turned to the provincial library staff and said, "There are seven computer displays here. Let's play this week's footage across all of them."

The staff exchanged bewildered glances but complied.

Settling into a chair in front of the seven screens, Ning Cheng focused intently.

Tick, tick, tick! The clock on the wall ticked away the seconds.

Zhou Ziyan watched, her expression shifting as she saw Ning Cheng identify potential suspects across the seven surveillance feeds. It reminded her of a scene from a Tang Tan movie, where the protagonist, Qin Feng, displayed extraordinary observational skills. She had thought such talent was reserved for geniuses—but here was Ning Cheng, doing just that!

"The video is too slow; speed it up!" Ning Cheng instructed, his eyes never leaving the screens.

The staff exchanged incredulous looks. Did he really want them to speed it up further?

Considering his position, they complied, doubling the playback speed.

"Still not fast enough! Hurry up!" Ning Cheng urged.

"How about quadrupling it?" one staff member suggested, suspecting Ning Cheng was playing a trick.

"Still not enough—let's make it eight times!" Ning Cheng insisted.

The staff raised their eyebrows but did as he asked, cranking the speed up to the maximum. The footage zipped by, nearly imperceptible to the naked eye.

But for Ning Cheng, it wasn't fast enough.

"Can you make it any faster?" he inquired, his focus unwavering.

"Eight times is the fastest we can go!" the staff replied, jaws dropped in disbelief.

Ning Cheng absorbed the rapid images on the screens, his mind working swiftly. "That's it, keep it at this speed!"

"My God, Ning Cheng is incredible!" Tang Xin whispered, covering her mouth in awe, afraid to interrupt his concentration.

Zhou Ziyan, Mu Xiaoyu, and the others were equally impressed, though they tried to maintain their composure.

"Come on, let's not disturb him," Zhou Ziyan suggested. "We can check the library for any leads while he watches the footage."

Frustrated, she felt her own abilities were overshadowed by Ning Cheng's brilliance. Whenever a problem arose, he always seemed to have a solution.

Ning Cheng remained oblivious to their departure, engrossed in the footage. To others, the speed was dizzying, but to him, it felt almost normal.

With his insight, memory, and exceptional observational skills, he quickly identified suspicious figures and retained their information.

As time ticked by, the clock showed more than fifty minutes had passed. He had effectively watched six hours of surveillance video.

The librarian next to him had dozed off at this point. Suddenly, a loud scraping noise jolted him awake.
