"Ning Cheng, not dead, he is not dead!"

"Great, Ning Cheng is still alive, God forbid, Ning Cheng is still alive!"

Ye Wanzhou's excitement was uncontrollable, a whispered torrent to those around her. Her relief was palpable.

Every armed police officer, including Commander-in-Chief Li Gang, felt tears welling as Ning Cheng's voice crackled over the comms. He was alive!

Against the chaos of the bank, Ning Cheng had not only survived but had rescued the hostages. His actions were extraordinary.

"Ning Cheng is awesome!"

The shout erupted from one officer, quickly echoed by the rest.

"He's amazing, but we can't celebrate yet," Zhou Ziyan said, her voice thick with emotion, yet her composure unwavering. "Besides the main entrance, there are robbers in other passages. We must neutralize them before they can attack Ning Cheng!"

The urgency was clear. Even with Ning Cheng's success at the main entrance, the threat remained. They needed a coordinated assault.

"Right. Seal off the other passages! Notify the demolition and defense teams—now!"

Li Gang's voice, choked with emotion, crackled over the walkie-talkie. "Support Ning Cheng!"

Explosions boomed, followed by the staccato bursts of gunfire. From a bird's-eye view, the simultaneous assault on the bank's back entrance and rooftop was breathtaking. Teams of 7-8 armed police officers engaged the robbers, their superior training and equipment quickly overwhelming the criminals. Submachine guns, body armor, and tactical maneuvers created a whirlwind of controlled chaos. The robbers were outmatched, their resistance collapsing in less than ten seconds. Those who weren't killed were swiftly subdued.

Meanwhile, on the second floor, Liu Hailong jolted upright, his pupils wide with terror. He snatched up his walkie-talkie, his voice trembling.

"Huang Mao, report!"

"Control the hostages! The police have breached our defenses. Control the hostages, or we're all dead!"

Panic clawed at him. The walkie-talkie remained silent.

"Huang Mao—!" Liu Hailong roared, his voice cracking. "Answer me!"

"Looking for Huang Mao, Boss Liu? I'm afraid you'll have to wait until you reach the underworld," Ning Cheng's voice cut through the silence.

Liu Hailong stared, dumbfounded. Ning Cheng? How? Five armed robbers, and Ning Cheng, unarmed, had somehow managed to eliminate them all? It was impossible.

"You... you didn't expect this?" Ning Cheng's voice was calm, almost amused. "There are things you simply can't comprehend. Don't worry, I'll be seeing you soon."

Liu Hailong gripped the walkie-talkie, veins bulging on his forehead. He couldn't process it. Ning Cheng, with a broken finger, had single-handedly taken down five armed men. It defied logic.

The gunfire subsided, replaced by an ominous silence that sent shivers down Liu Hailong's spine. He was trapped, cornered, and utterly defeated.

At the bank's front entrance, Ning Cheng stood alert, his senses heightened by the echoes of the recent firefight. Relief washed over him as the armed police secured the lobby.

"Thank you for your support," Ning Cheng said to the team leader.

"The thanks belong to you, Comrade Ning Cheng," the captain replied, his voice filled with awe. "To face five armed men, injured as you are, and still rescue the hostages... it's a miracle." He saw the broken finger.

"Let's skip the pleasantries," Ning Cheng said, gesturing towards the hostages. "Let's get them to safety."

The hostages emerged, blinking in the sunlight, their faces etched with relief. The sight of the armed police brought a wave of security, a stark contrast to the terror they had just endured. Tears flowed freely.

"You are the cutest people!" The crowd outside erupted in thunderous applause as the hostages were led to safety. Cameras flashed, capturing the moment.

Ning Cheng, and the armed police, were indeed heroes. The hostages expressed their gratitude in various ways—hugs, kisses, business cards—each a testament to their profound relief and respect. They would never forget the man who had saved their lives.

Ning Cheng, after ensuring the hostages were safe, rejoined Zhou Ziyan, Ye Wanzhou, and Li Gang.

"Thank you for your hard work," Li Gang said, his voice still thick with emotion.

"It was my duty," Ning Cheng replied. Li Gang's gaze fell on Ning Cheng's injured finger.

"Ning Cheng, you need to go to the hospital," Zhou Ziyan insisted.

"I'm fine," Ning Cheng said, his focus shifting. "Where's Liu Hailong?"

"He's on the second floor, cornered," Li Gang said. "We'll arrest him."

"I want to see him," Ning Cheng said. "It's a personal matter."

Li Gang hesitated, then nodded. "Be careful."

"Thank you," Ning Cheng said, and returned to the bank.

Ye Wanzhou watched him go, filled with admiration. Ning Cheng was a true hero.
