Hello everyone welcome to new chapter ☺️☺️☺️
For a moment, Rakshit’s mask slipped, and he let himself feel the warmth of her touch, the comfort in her words. But then he quickly regained control, offering her a slight nod. “I appreciate that. But there are things... things I can’t share.”
Aaravi studied him, her eyes full of understanding. “I know you have your secrets, Rakshit. But if you ever need to talk, I’m here.”
He gave her a grateful smile, though it didn’t reach his eyes. “I know,” he said softly. “But right now, I just need to focus on getting my people through this.”
Aaravi nodded, stepping back slightly, giving him space. “They’re in good hands. You’ve done everything you can.”
Rakshit glanced around the hospital, his mind still racing with thoughts of the ambush, of Malik’s failure, and the risks that lay ahead. But for a moment, as he stood there with Aaravi, the storm in his world seemed to quiet, even if just for a little while.
“I’ll wait for updates,” Rakshit said, his voice steadier now. “But thank you, Aaravi. For everything.”
She smiled warmly. “Take care of yourself too, Rakshit. Don’t just think about everyone else.”
With one last look at her, Rakshit turned and left the emergency area, the weight of his dual life pressing heavily on his shoulders. He had managed to explain the situation to her without revealing the darkness he was entangled in, but deep down, he knew the storm was far from over. And the next battle would be even harder to face.
The next day, Rakshit found himself once again at Hope Hospital. This time, however, it wasn’t just for updates on his men’s recovery—it was something deeper, something more personal that had drawn him there.
As he quietly walked into the recovery wing, he stopped in his tracks, his sharp eyes catching sight of Aaravi. She was moving from one bed to another, checking on each of his injured men with a kind smile and gentle words. To his surprise, the hardened, silent faces of his gang—men who had seen and done things far worse than the average person—had softened under her care. Some of them were even smiling, laughing at something she had said.
Rakshit narrowed his eyes, a strange feeling stirring within him. These men, his soldiers, were always tough, unshakable, and fierce. Yet, with Aaravi, they seemed... human. Full of life, even.
One of the younger men, who had a bandage wrapped around his arm, was grinning like a schoolboy as Aaravi told him a story to lift his spirits. For a moment, Rakshit felt a flicker of pride—Aaravi, his Aaravi, could bring life to even the most broken souls.
But then, a different emotion crept in, one that he wasn’t used to feeling. A sense of jealousy. Possessiveness.
He watched as his men, who knew nothing of her just a day ago, now seemed to bask in her presence, treating her as if she were a light in their world. A light that belonged to him . The thought surged through him like fire. She was his light. His queen. The only warmth in the cold, dark world he ruled. No one else had the right to be so close to her, to receive that smile, that tenderness.
"No one," he thought, his jaw tightening.
His heart raced, and his eyes darkened with the realization that he hated seeing anyone else— anyone —draw close to her. Aaravi was meant for him, and him alone. She was the only one who could soothe the darkness inside him, and the idea that someone else might share in that warmth filled him with a quiet, simmering rage.
He clenched his fists, fighting to keep his composure. He couldn't act on these emotions now. Not here, not in front of Aaravi. She was too pure, too gentle to understand the dark intensity that came with his world and the way he felt about her. But deep down, he knew one thing for certain: She was his, and no one else would ever get close enough to take her away from him.
After a few minutes, Aaravi spotted Rakshit and approached him, her smile radiant as always. “You’re back,” she said warmly, her voice soothing, unaware of the storm brewing inside him. “Your men are recovering well. I’ve been spending a bit of time with them, trying to keep their spirits up.”
Rakshit forced a tight smile, his voice low and controlled. “I noticed. They seem... different around you.”
Aaravi laughed softly, her eyes lighting up with joy. “It’s nothing, really. They’re tough guys, but everyone needs a little care now and then. I’m just doing what I can.”
Rakshit nodded, his eyes never leaving hers. But inside, his thoughts were fierce. She doesn’t know. She doesn’t know that she’s mine.
Before he could say more, one of his men called out from behind, breaking the moment. “Hey, Doc! When are we getting out of here? We’ve got work to do, you know!”
Aaravi glanced back at the man and smiled. “Not until I say so. And trust me, you’re not going anywhere until you’re fully healed.”
Rakshit’s jaw clenched again. As much as he admired her ability to lift his men’s spirits, the possessiveness gnawed at him. He wanted to pull her away from everyone else, to remind her that she belonged only in his world, his arms. No one else.
But for now, he remained silent, watching as Aaravi returned to her rounds, unaware of the fierce emotions she had stirred in him.
As Rakshit stood there, one thing became crystal clear in his mind: Aaravi was the queen of his dark world, the only light in his life, and he would never let anyone else get close enough to take her away from him.
