Hello everyone welcome to new chapter ☺️☺️☺️
The seminar, she knew, was not just a professional milestone—it was an opportunity to bring hope and healing to the people she cared for most.
Aaravi, still excited from her conversation with Dr. Mehta, decided to share the news with her father. As she reached her father's cabin in Hope Hospital, she noticed Dr. Rajesh Kapoor was engrossed in a consultation with a patient. The patient, a middle-aged man, was discussing his heart condition.
Dr. Rajesh Kapoor, the hospital's leading cardiologist, listened intently as the man explained his symptoms. Aaravi quietly entered the room, smiling at the sight of her father working with his usual dedication. She silently sat on the couch in the corner of the room, observing the consultation.
Rajesh Kapoor, in his calm, reassuring tone, spoke to the patient. "Your condition is a result of coronary artery disease. The arteries that supply blood to your heart are narrowed by plaque buildup, which restricts the blood flow. This is why you're experiencing chest pain and shortness of breath."
The patient nodded, his face filled with concern. "Will I need surgery, Doctor?"
Dr. Kapoor offered a reassuring smile. "Not necessarily. We're going to focus on lifestyle changes first—diet, exercise, and medication. If the situation doesn't improve, we’ll consider angioplasty or, in extreme cases, bypass surgery. But I believe we can manage this conservatively for now."
Aaravi smiled to herself, admiring her father's ability to communicate complicated medical information in such a simple, calming manner. The patient left the office with a sense of relief, thanking Dr. Kapoor profusely before walking out.
As soon as the door closed, Dr. Kapoor turned to Aaravi with a warm, fatherly smile. "And to what do I owe this visit, my darling daughter? You look like you’ve just received the best news of your life."
Aaravi’s face lit up, her excitement spilling over as she spoke. "Papa, you won’t believe it! Dr. Mehta called this morning to tell me about a huge medical seminar happening in Mumbai. It’s organized by the Indian Medical Research Forum, and it’s all about how we can use technology to revolutionize treatments in neurology and psychology. Doctors from all over the world will be there!"
Mr. Kapoor’s eyes brightened with interest as he sat back in his chair. "That’s fantastic news, Aaravi. This could be a wonderful opportunity for you."
"I know!" Aaravi beamed. "They’ll be discussing everything from AI-assisted diagnosis to virtual reality therapies. There’s so much we can learn and apply to our work at Hope Hospital. I want to make sure our patients have access to the latest advancements in treatment, especially those suffering from neurological trauma."
Dr. Kapoor nodded in approval, pride evident in his gaze. "You’re absolutely right, Aaravi. Neurology is evolving so quickly, and technology is a huge part of that. The more you learn, the more lives you can save. I’m glad you're thinking about how to use this knowledge for the benefit of your patients. You should absolutely go and take full advantage of this seminar."
Aaravi’s heart soared at her father’s approval. "I was hoping you'd say that, Papa. I want to share my research on neurofeedback therapy, especially for trauma victims, and also learn from the best in the field."
Rajesh Kapoor stood up and placed a hand on her shoulder. "You’ve worked hard, Aaravi. You’ve earned this. I have full faith in you."
As they made their way home, they were greeted by the lively chatter of the family. Aryan and Priya Kapoor were discussing designs for a new project, while Riya, Aryan's wife, was on a call with a client.
As soon as Aaravi and her father walked in, Aryan noticed the huge smile on Aaravi's face. He smirked playfully. "Did you win the lottery or something, Aaravi? You're glowing."
Aaravi grinned. "Something much better than a lottery, Aryan!"
Intrigued, the family gathered around as Aaravi and Rajesh Kapoor shared the news about the seminar. Aaravi explained its significance and the opportunity it presented for her career and the hospital.
Aryan, still teasing, asked, "Where is this amazing seminar happening?"
"In Mumbai," Aaravi said, her excitement undiminished. "And it’s in two days."
The light mood shifted slightly as Aryan's protective instincts kicked in. His expression grew serious. "Mumbai?" he repeated. "You know how dangerous that city can be, especially with its underworld connections. The mafia runs half the city. You could be in serious danger."
Aaravi sighed, knowing this was coming. "Aryan, it's a professional seminar. I’ll be staying in a secure place, attending sessions, and coming back. I’ll be perfectly safe."
Aryan crossed his arms. "You don’t understand, Aaravi. Mumbai is not just any city. It’s the heart of the underworld in India. Drug trafficking, crime syndicates, you name it. I can’t just let you go there alone."
Rajesh Kapoor, who had been silent, spoke up. "Aryan, you’re being overprotective. This is a professional opportunity for Aaravi. She’s an adult and can take care of herself."
Aryan shook his head, his face hard with worry. "I can’t risk it. I’m going with you. No arguments. Your safety comes first."
Before Aaravi could respond, Riya stepped in, reminding Aryan, "Aryan, you have your first meeting with that European client in two days. This is a massive opportunity for 'Ethereal Spaces.' It could take your company to a global level. You can’t just cancel that."
Aryan frowned. "I'll tell them something came up. My sister is more important than any project."
Aaravi, feeling a surge of emotion, placed her hand on Aryan’s arm. "Aryan, I appreciate how much you care about me. But I promise you, I’ll be fine. This is my chance to grow professionally and help more patients. And you’ve worked so hard for this project. You can’t let it go. I can’t let you give up your dream for me."
Aryan’s jaw tightened, but he softened slightly at the sight of his sister’s earnestness.
"Please," Aaravi continued, her voice gentle yet firm, "I’ll be careful. I’ll check in with you every day. You’ve always taught me how to be strong and independent. Trust me."
Aryan looked at her, torn. His protective instincts battled with the rational side of his brain. Finally, after what felt like an eternity, he sighed deeply. "Alright… But only because I trust you, Aaravi. You’re right. You’ve grown up. But you will check in every day, and if anything feels off, you tell me immediately."
Aaravi smiled and hugged him tightly. "Thank you, Aryan! I promise, I’ll be fine."
Rajesh Kapoor, observing the emotional exchange, stepped forward and placed a hand on Aryan’s shoulder. "She’s strong, Aryan. She’s ready for this. Have faith in her."
With that, the decision was made. Aaravi would go to Mumbai alone, and Aryan, though reluctant, would stay behind and focus on his career milestone. As they sat together that evening, Aryan still looked a little uneasy, but Aaravi could see the trust in his eyes. She felt blessed to have such a loving, protective family, but she also felt ready to take on this new challenge independently. The seminar was just the beginning of something far bigger for her, and she was determined to make her family proud.
