"The kids are having free time now, so I'll find someone to show you around," the headmaster tells her.

They made their way to the courtyard, where, instead of just calling someone forward to show Alice around, she calls her hands to silence everyone.

"We have a new girl, her name is Alice. Who would like to show her around?" The headmaster says.

Alice wanted to crawl into the ground and die. Why did she have to do it in front of everybody? She thinks to herself.

Two girls, one with long brown hair pulled into a braid and green eyes, the other with blonde hair pulled into a bun and brown eyes. The brunette had a large smile on her face, and the other one was looking her over.

The blonde raised her hand, "We'll do it."

I let go of the breath I didn't realize I was holding.

They came towards me as everyone continued their free time.

"I'm Emma," says the blonde.

"I'm Olivia," says the brunette.

"I'm Alice," Alice responds quietly. She wanted to disappear.

Olivia took Alice's hand and said, "Let's go!"

Emma rolled her eyes at Olivia's enthusiasm.

Alice brought her lunch outside, where Emma and Olivia were sitting. They stopped talking as soon as she got there.

Alice gave them a strange look, but they shrugged it off. She sat down next to them.

When she went for a bite of meat, Emma said, "Yeah, I really don't recommend that. It's like prison food."

Alice headed her advice and put down her fork.

"What were you guys talking about?" She asks.

They look at each other, then back at me. Emma speaks first, "Do your trick."

"I don't know what your talking about," Alice says evasively.

They can't know. How do they know? Why did I start this conversation! Alice panics inside her head.

"It doesn't matter how we know, just do it so I know it's true," Emma said forcefully.

Alice pales, "I didn't say that out loud," she says quietly.

Emma leans in close to her and whispers, "Exactly."

Alice changes into a squirrel before their eyes and starts to run away from them. Then she looks up to see a hawk above her head, so she changes into a cat to protect herself. She hisses at the bird and tries to protect herself.

Olivia and Emma are just watching this happen.

The eagle grabs her and carries her back to where they had been sitting, and lands on Olivia's head.

"Good job, big guy," she says lovingly, "You can go back now." The hawk nods and flies away.

Alice changes back to human form and stares at them with shock.
