Pedri POV:
We were all in the waiting room, a heavy silence hanging over us. Gavi was in her room with someone, and I couldn't shake the feeling of unease. I glanced at the others: Ale, Ansu, Fermin, Ferran, and Joao were all tense, their expressions a mix of worry and frustration.
"She's going to be all right," Pablo said, trying to sound confident. "I've known Camila since we were little. One time, she hurt her ankle and still played a game."
"She'll pull through," Ferran added, scrolling on his phone. "I'm trying to get her family on the line."
"Her family isn't here?" I asked, a knot forming in my stomach.
"No, Gavi is with Justin," he replied.
"Justin?" I looked up, my heart dropping. The name felt foreign and unwelcome. I waited for someone to explain, but their expressions told me everything I didn't want to hear.
Finally, Gavi emerged from the room, looking serious. "You guys can go in now," he said, stepping aside to let us through.
As we walked into her room, the sight of Camila lying there, still and vulnerable, made my heart ache. My gaze shifted to the figure sitting next to her: Justin. The same guy from the dinner when Camila had friend-zoned me. The realization hit hard—maybe this was why she had pushed me away so quickly.
I stood frozen for a moment, feeling like an outsider in a room that should have felt familiar. The other guys were murmuring support to Camila, but all I could think about was how I wanted to be the one by her side, holding her hand, kissing her forehead, whispering that everything would be okay. But I couldn't. Not with Justin there, not with everyone watching.
"Hey, Camila," I finally managed to say, my voice barely above a whisper. I stepped closer, but felt the weight of the moment pressing down on me. The truth was, none of them knew we were dating. They didn't know how much she meant to me, how much I wanted to be there for her, to show her my love.
Justin glanced up at me, a smirk playing on his lips. "Hey Pedri from the restaurants ," he said casually, as if he had all the right in the world to be there.
I swallowed hard, forcing a smile. "Yeah, that's me," I replied, trying to keep my voice steady.
The other guys were rallying around Camila, but my heart felt heavy. I longed to reach out, to brush a strand of hair from her face and tell her I was there for her. Instead, I stood back, feeling like a ghost in my own life. I couldn't show them how much I cared. Not now.
With every passing second, I felt more helpless. She lay there, and I could do nothing but watch as Justin sat beside her, pretending to be the one who mattered. I had to hold it together, but inside, I was unraveling.
Ferran caught my eye, sensing my struggle. "You okay, hermano?" he asked quietly, concern etched on his face.
"Yeah, just... worried," I replied, though the words felt hollow. I knew I had to be strong—for her, for the boys—but all I wanted to do was be the one to comfort her.
In that moment, I realized that no matter how hard I tried to hide my feelings, they were only growing stronger. And as long as Justin was there, I felt like I was losing her all over again.
**Camila POV:**
I slowly opened my eyes, the bright hospital lights stinging my vision. As I blinked away the haze, I took in my surroundings, realizing I was in a hospital room. To my left, I spotted Gavi, his face lighting up with relief as he caught my eye. When I turned to my right, my heart sank. There was Justin. What was he doing here?
"Guys," I tried to say, my voice barely a whisper.
"Camila, you're awake!" Gavi exclaimed, rushing to my side. He hugged me tightly, and I could hear the worry in his voice. "I was so scared. I flew right to Italy when I heard. I'm going to call the guys," he said, his relief palpable as he stepped out of the room.
As the door closed behind him, I turned to Justin, a mix of confusion and frustration swirling inside me. "Hey," he said, his tone softer than I expected.
"What are you doing here?" I asked, trying to keep my voice steady.
"Sofia called. She told me to come and get you, bring you back," he replied, his gaze unwavering.
"Yeah, because she can't do it," I shot back, irritation creeping into my voice.
"Why, though? Why did you come for me?" I pressed, feeling a knot tighten in my stomach.
"Because, Camila, I still love you," he said, leaning closer. Before I could react, he pressed his lips against mine in a kiss.
I felt frozen, too weak to push him away. My mind raced, filled with a whirlwind of emotions. I couldn't believe this was happening. Instead of feeling happy or reassured, I felt trapped. Overwhelmed, I closed my eyes, trying to block out the reality of the moment.
