The days following their night in the studio felt like a dream Dunk couldn’t wake from. He found himself replaying that kiss, Joong’s warmth, and the quiet, heartfelt moments they’d shared. Joong hadn’t spoken of it since, as if their kiss was just another unspoken secret between them. But every time Dunk caught Joong looking at him in the cafeteria or across campus, there was something in his eyes that spoke volumes.

One evening, Dunk decided to go to the studio alone. He had sketches to finish and thoughts to sort through, so he slipped into the quiet, familiar space, savoring the solitude. But his peace was interrupted when Joong walked in, carrying two cups of coffee.

"Figured you’d be here," Joong said, handing one of the cups to Dunk. “You always get lost in your sketches.”

Dunk took the coffee with a smile, feeling a spark at Joong’s attention. “Thanks. I... didn’t know you paid that much attention.”

Joong laughed softly, leaning back against the table. “You’d be surprised.” He looked around the studio, then glanced at Dunk, his eyes lingering. “You know, that kiss... I keep thinking about it.”

Dunk’s heart stuttered. “I do, too.”

They both fell into silence, the air charged with the unspoken. Finally, Joong spoke, his voice low and uncertain. “I’m not used to this, Dunk. I thought maybe this was just a phase, something casual. But being around you... it’s different. It feels real.”

Dunk took a shaky breath, feeling his own walls breaking down. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone, Joong. I thought I’d be fine staying friends, but... every time I see you, it’s like I want more.”

Joong took Dunk’s hand, his fingers lacing through Dunk’s in a quiet, grounding gesture. "I want more, too," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. “Maybe we just see where this goes.”

Dunk nodded, relief washing over him. It was enough for now, this quiet understanding between them.

They spent the rest of the evening in comfortable silence, Dunk sketching while Joong kept him company, the warmth of his presence a constant reassurance. The unspoken promise between them hung in the air, giving Dunk a sense of calm he hadn’t known he needed.
