Life after Joong's dream proposal felt like stepping into a new chapter of their journey—a chapter filled with excitement, plans, and a deeper sense of belonging. Dunk and Joong had always shared a strong bond, but their engagement brought a new kind of magic to their everyday lives.

The first few weeks after the proposal were a whirlwind of emotions and excitement. Their friends and family were overjoyed when they shared the news. The night they announced it, their closest friends gathered at their apartment to celebrate.

"Oh my god, it's finally happening!" Champ exclaimed, pulling Dunk into a bear hug

"Oh my god, it's finally happening!" Champ exclaimed, pulling Dunk into a bear hug. "You're officially stuck with Joong now!"

Dunk laughed, playfully nudging Champ. "I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Just make sure I get the best man spot," Jeng chimed in, raising his glass. "Otherwise, I'm starting a coup."

Joong smirked. "You'll have to fight Dunk's brothers for that."

The night was filled with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and shared memories, a reminder of how much love surrounded them.

Building a Home

With their engagement official, Dunk and Joong began to envision the life they wanted to build together. While they already shared an apartment, they decided to start house-hunting for a place that truly felt like "theirs."

Weekend mornings turned into trips to visit cozy townhouses and sleek city apartments. One day, they found a house tucked away on a quiet street, with large windows that let in plenty of sunlight and a small garden out back.

"This feels right," Dunk said softly as they stood in the living room, imagining their future there.

Joong took his hand, a smile tugging at his lips. "It does."

Within weeks, they had signed the papers, and the moving day became another milestone in their journey. The process of unpacking boxes and arranging furniture was messy and chaotic, but it was also filled with laughter and teamwork.

"Joong, I swear if you try to put that couch in front of the window, I'll..." Dunk started, laughing as Joong raised his hands in mock surrender.

"I'm just testing the feng shui!" Joong replied, grinning.

Wedding Planning

As the months went by, the reality of planning a wedding set in

As the months went by, the reality of planning a wedding set in. While Dunk preferred a more intimate affair, Joong leaned toward something a bit grander.

"How about a destination wedding?" Joong suggested one evening as they flipped through magazines at the dining table.

Dunk raised an eyebrow. "You mean like the beach? You do remember we're already having one honeymoon, right?"

Joong chuckled. "Okay, fair point. Maybe we keep it simple but elegant?"

They eventually agreed on a small outdoor wedding in the countryside, surrounded by close friends and family. The venue was perfect—a garden with blooming flowers, fairy lights strung through the trees, and a view of the rolling hills.

Dunk's favorite part of the planning was the personal touches. They decided to write their vows and incorporate little details that reflected their journey—photos of their favorite memories together, a playlist of songs they'd danced to in their living room, and even their first shared dessert as the wedding cake flavor.

Facing Challenges Together

While the engagement period was mostly joyous, life didn't stop throwing challenges their way. Joong faced a demanding project at work that left him stressed and exhausted, while Dunk struggled with balancing his own career and wedding planning.

One evening, after a particularly tough day, Joong came home to find Dunk asleep on the couch, surrounded by color-coded wedding notes and spreadsheets.

Joong gently shook him awake. "Hey, you're overworking yourself," he said softly.

Dunk yawned, sitting up. "I just wanted to make sure everything's perfect."

Joong sat beside him, pulling him close. "It already is. We're doing this together, okay? Let's not lose sight of what matters—you and me."

Dunk nodded, a small smile forming on his lips. "You always know how to calm me down."

Joong kissed his forehead. "That's what I'm here for."

A New Chapter

By the time their wedding day arrived, everything felt like a dream. As Dunk walked down the aisle toward Joong, he couldn't help but reflect on how far they had come—from the nervous conversations on the beach to this moment of pure joy.

Their vows were filled with laughter and tears, promises to love each other through all of life's twists and turns. When Joong said, "You've been my home, my partner, my everything," there wasn't a dry eye in the audience.

Their first dance as husbands was to a song they had danced to countless times in their apartment, and as they twirled under the string lights, Dunk whispered, "This is everything I ever dreamed of."

Joong smiled, pulling him closer. "And it's just the beginning."

Happily Ever After

Life after the wedding was everything they had hoped for and more. They settled into their new home, filling it with memories, laughter, and the occasional silly argument about whose turn it was to do the dishes.

They traveled together, exploring new corners of the world and returning to old favorites. The beach where they had first connected became a regular pilgrimage—a place to reflect on their journey and dream about the future.

Through it all, Dunk and Joong's love remained at the heart of their story. They faced life's challenges with unwavering support, celebrated its joys with unbridled enthusiasm, and continued to grow together.

Their journey wasn't always perfect, but it was theirs—a love story written not in grand gestures but in the quiet, everyday moments that made up a lifetime. And as they stood together, watching the waves roll in on another anniversary, they knew that every chapter ahead would be a story they would write together—one step, one heartbeat, and one promise at a time.
