Sitting in the backseat with Quànrui, the two tangled their hands together resting it on Quànrui's lap as Elise rested her head on Quànrui's shoulder.

"Are you excited to see your family again after so long?" Quànrui said softly as Elise hummed. "My mom and  Mary at least, I'm not excited to see my dad." Elise said as Quànrui hummed. "I understand, you should tell me the truth about how he has hurt you all these years." Quànrui encouraged as Elise sighed putting her head up to look at Quànrui.

"I've tried but he never seems to listen to me.. it's whatever really." Elise said sadly looking down as Quànrui lifted her chin with his finger.

"It's not whatever baby." Quànrui said and the nickname had Elise blushing. "I know how much you want your dad to validate you for once, you can sit him down and have a genuine talk." Quànrui advised before smiling softly.

"I do want my future father in law at our wedding, don't you Elise?" Quànrui said as Elise chuckled shyly the grip on his hand growing tighter. "Of course i do, i guess I'll try i hope i don't get compared or belittled." Elise said as Quànrui caressed her cheek with his thumb.

"If that happens, we'll snub his invite." Quànrui warned causing Elise to laugh out loud "He'll be so upset." Elise teased as the two laughed softly, the Royce rolls stopping.

"Looks like as we've arrived." Elise said sadly as Quànrui digged into his pocket taking out a small folded paper and putting it in Elise's hands. Elise gasped before looking down at the paper.

"Here's my number, we should message and call each other in these two days." Quànrui said, Elise grinned widely before bringing him into a tight hug.

"Bye Quànrui, travel safe." Elise said as she got out, Jiwoong giving her back her suitcase, Quànrui waved goodbye before Jiwoong shut the door.

Watching the Royce rolls drive away, Elise's heart started to pound from nervousness. She wonders if her parents will ever let her back into the house after the stunt she pulled, running away from her arranged marriage with Farmer John.

Dragging her suitcase down the corridor of her apartment, Elise sighed loudly before knocking on the front door. Mary opened the door and her face brightened up in excitement.

"Elise!" Mary said bringing her into a hug as Elise moved back slightly from the strong impact, smiling softly as she returned the hug. "I've missed you around! But it's gonna get worse now that you're set on marrying the Prince. " Mary teased as Elise gasped. "Mary! You need to stop." Elise warned but that didn't stop Mary from playfully sticking her tongue out causing Elise to chuckle.

Mrs Okayu came from her place in the kitchen and Elise caught her with her eyes immediately, her mother opened her arms out and Elise smiled immediately going in for a hug. Mary looked on confused.

"You're really accepting hugs now? I have to thank the Prince for this drastic change." Mary teased on the side as Elise put her leg out about to kick Mary who squatted away. Mrs Okayu patted Elise's braids before letting go, the two holding each other at arm's length.

"How have you been Elise? Have you eaten well there? Do you want me to make you something to eat before you go to bed?" Mrs Okayu questioned endlessly as Elise shook her head. "No I'm good, i actually ate better than expected at that resort everything is fresh there, including the fruit!" Elise said causing Mary to nod amused.

Mr Okayu walked out of the bedroom half asleep to see what the commotion was about, once Elise turned her head to see him her smile faded and the whole room went quiet.

Mr Okayu simply eyed Elise from head to toe.

"You're back." He said with a grunt since his throat hadn't opened up yet since he was sleeping for long, Elise forced a smile before nodding.

"Hey dad." Elise said softly as Mr Okayu turned around to go back to his room, of course he was still mad Elise couldn't expect him not to be.

"C'mon dear, let's get you settled again." Mrs Okayu said as she walled Elise to her bedroom, Mary rolling her suitcase not so far.

Elise couldn't really get some sleep that night since it's been so long since she was last at home, her tension with her father is still on an all time high, she wonders if he will be accepting of her marriage to Quànrui. 

Taking her phone from the nightstand, Elise opened up meseages. She wondered if Quànrui was still up.

Hey Quànrui 😊
You're awake?

                                      Quànrui: I've been waiting for this message.
                                      Quànrui: how's everything at home😀

Elise:
Well my mom and sister are happy to see me as expected but my dad only said 2 words to me before walking away😐

Elise:
He's still mad that i ruined the marriage proposal with his friend.

                                        Quànrui: He's need to let that go😭😭
                                         Quànrui: Because what he'll see at the final will shock him.

Elise:
Like what?😭😭

                                   Quànrui: Me going on one knee and proposing

Elise's eyes widened at that message as she silently screamed on her pillow. Holding her phone as close to her face, Elise grinned while typing.

Elise:
He'll have the whole view😂😂

                                 Quànrui: Exactly😂😂😂

                                    Quànrui: But he'll  coming around soon.

Elise:
I hope.

Elise put her phone down as a yawn escaped her lips.

Elise:
I gotta go I'm really sleepy now😕

Elise:
Goodbye my future husband 😌
