They weren't perfect, after all this time thinking they were.
Seven years worth of relationship, almost marriage, only for this to happen.
Aquarius took a deep breath, preparing herself for the conversation in front of her.
She had practiced this for months, letting the feelings well inside her as she tried her best to figure out how to talk to him about it.
She couldn't lead him on anymore, she couldn't marry him.
"Taurus" she called down the hallway and heard his desk chair squeak.
"Yeah, come in" he called back, the sound of his mouse clicking and him pulling his headset off. After a long day of work he liked some alone time play a game or reading a book, maybe that was one of the problems, who was she kidding, it was definitely one of the problems.
She opened the office door gently, leaning against the door frame as she looked at her fiancé of two years and boyfriend of five.
"Do you need something?" he asked with a smile, always so happy to see her even if he wasn't in the mood to talk.
She sighed and walked over to the couch in the back of the office.
They had made so many memories in this room, he had taught her how to play so many games and she had taught him how to animate.
She fought back her tears, telling herself that this was her fault.
"We need to talk" she choked out, trying to compose herself.
His face fell, his eyes showed concern.
"Bad kind of talk?" he asked and she nodded her head.
He swiveled the chair around and faced her, a frown plastered on his face.
He was perfect, always listened to her and improved himself whenever she asked, why did she feel this way.
"I don't think I love you anymore" she confessed.
Thoughts of them over the past seven years flooded into her head.
The countless dates at the cute café on the corner.
Dancing at his best friends wedding, enjoying each others movements and laughing.
Movie nights on the couch, laughing and ranking terrible Christmas movies while enjoying the freshly made biscuits that Taurus always made for Christmas.
Time that they spent up in the woods together, hiking and camping along a beautiful river and exchanging stories.
"What?" he choked out.
Taking cooking classes together, him showing her how to make traditional foods from his country.
The time Aquarius decided she wanted to try yoga and he joined, laughing and trying his best to squeeze into weird positions.
Taurus's competitive sandcastle building with his best friend, and how they always used to laugh so much hearing the two boys argue.
Attending a funeral and grieving together, but also being thankful that they still had each other.
"It's me not you" she said as calmly as she could muster, but it was far too late because the tears were already streaming down his face and soon they were streaming down her face.
