Why did I write this instead of what I was supposed to be writing?

So I have visual zodiacs, that all have their own stories. And the two in this story is Stiles the Scorpio and Gabriel who is one twin of the Gemini, his twin is Gideon. Against my better judgement I created fantasy versions of my visual characters and Stiles became a witch while Gabriel is a human. 

I have an entire fantasy world for these characters and I'm absolutely in love with my witch/human couple, despite this being written quite poorly. 

So this is Gabriel trying to learn how to date the witch he's in love with. And yes, the enimies to lovers oneshot is still being worked on, I am so sorry it's taking so long. 

"Hello Gabriel" a voice said behind him and Gabriel spun around. 

"Ah Stiles, you scared me" Gabriel said and put a hand on his rapidly beating heart. 

"You scare so easily, you humans are weak" Stiles commented and Gabriel hit him playfully. 

Stiles wore a dark red hat with a black veil over his eyes, but even through the veil Gabriel could tell how beautiful he was. 

Months ago Gabriel had realized exactly why he thought the witch was so stunning, he was madly in love with him. 

But from what he had heard Stiles telling his brother, Gideon, dating a witch was very unlike dating a human. 

"Hey Stiles?" Gabriel asked nervously and Stiles turned his head towards him, not being able to see his eyes made reading Stiles' face very hard but Gabriel imagined he was looking very interested. 

"What do you have to say Gabriel?" Stiles asked and Gabriel smiled nervously. 

"How exactly does dating a witch go?" he asked and imagined Stiles looked surprised at his question. 

"Well first we go through the courting phase" Stiles began but Gabriel interrupted with "How long do you get courted for?" 

Stiles thought for a moment before replying. 

"Well usually two to five years" he answered and Gabriel looked shocked. 

"But that's so long!" he exclaimed and Stiles shrugged. 

"For you maybe, but to a witch it is not very long" he said and Gabriel frowned, he had forgotten witches often lived into their thousands. 

"And after the courting?" he continued and Stiles smiled. 

"After the courting you have your first kiss under a red moon, then you are officially dating" he answered and Gabriel looked stunned again. 

"First kiss? After five years of courting?" he demanded and Stiles nodded. 

"It's frowned on to do anything more than kiss and hold the other witches hand during courting" Stiles explained and Gabriel sighed. 

"And while dating you may kiss the other person?" Gabriel asked and Stiles nodded. 

"You may kiss once per week" he stated and Gabriel looked even more stunned. 

"Once per week is a luxury Gabriel" Stiles said with a laugh. 

"And how long do you date for?" Gabriel asked and Stiles shrugged. 

"You can for as little as a year before getting engaged" he answered and Gabriel supposed a year was fine. 

"Then the engagement which is a very big event, you ask for the parents permission then the witch leaders permission to marry the submissive one" Stiles continued and Gabriel sighed.
