Flashback of Luffy and Whitebeard

Summary: Whitebeard and Shanks shows up the Marineford to give the Navy hell after they are trying to execute Ace, there was sudden flashback of Luffy having a conversation with Whitebeard

(MARINEFORD)

(WHITEBEARD POV)

"Do you know what it's mean go and declare war against the Emperors of the Sea, don't you?" Whitebeard said as he was punching the war by using his Gura Gura no Mi fruit making Marineford shake "Sengoku, do you want this the easy way or the hard way? give me my son back or this will get ugly"

"It's just only you, how are you end this all by yourself" Sengoku said 

"Who said It's going to be one?" a Red-Haired Pirate said as he knocks out the marines with Conqueror's Haki "Surely Whitebeard is not in his prime but he is fighting strong"

"Red-Haired Shanks!!!" Screech Sengoku which made the marines started to sweat "Why are you here? as I recall, you aren't related to Gol D. Ace"

"He is like my son like Whitebeard, I can't let him die. Plus, he is the son of my former Captain" Shanks said "Like Whitebeard said, if you aren't going to easy way, then this war is going to expect hell soon enough"

"Gurarara, I take it you raised Ace along with the other kid you talked about?" Whitebeard said which made Shanks to look at him

"Seems like you know Luffy" Shanks said and then Whitebeard smiled

"Ace always talks about him ever since he joined my crew" Whitebeard replied "he seems worthy of being an Emperor. he and I had a chat not too while ago"

(FLASHBACK - AFTER ENIES LOBBY, WATER 7)

Luffy was lying in bed when he gets a call from his Transponder snail and then he sighed before taking a moment of answering. He then picked up the call with a bored expression on his face

"Hello, who is this?" Straw Hat Luffy asked with a bit rude and bored attitude 

"I should've expected that kind of attitude from you, Straw-Hat" Whitebeard from the other side said, which made Luffy raise an eyebrow

"Why is a big-time Yonko calling someone like me after I got done with a fight?" Straw Hat asked

"So, you do know me already, I figured you didn't since you barely cared about what's going on" Whitebeard said and then Luffy sighed

"My intelligence is not that excellent if that's you're thinking about who you're talking to" Luffy said "My intelligence is only good whenever It's come to fighting, my friends or family"

"Oh, you know what had happened to Ace before he joined my crew" Whitebeard said

"Should've expected that, because he is too cocky to think he can beat strong fighters at his power level" Luffy exclaimed "why are you calling me for, I'm still recovering"

"I just want to learn about Ace and your family tree" Whitebeard said which made Luffy took a few seconds to answer to Whitebeard

"My family tree is a long-complicated stretch" Luffy replied "What did Ace tell you about me firstly?"

"He told me that you're the son of Dragon and the grandson of Rocks" Whitebeard answered which made Luffy sweat a bit and then calmed down "believe me or not, I used to be a member of the Rocks Pirate" which surprised Luffy a bunch

"You were a member of the Rocks Pirates before he defeated?" Straw Hat Luffy asked surprisingly 

"That's right. Although, I didn't acknowledge him as my Captain, but we were still crewmates" Whitebeard said which made Luffy frown a bit after hearing those responses. Whitebeard didn't acknowledged Rocks as his Captain
