Chapter 2: Scarred

Anna p.o.v.

Beep beep
"Ugghhh shut up you stupid clock can't you see I'm not ready to get up!" Why did I allow them to get me this garbage, all it does is disturb my beauty sleep I thought.

'You should just die you ugly good for nothing girl I wish it was you instead,' my fathers words coming back to me which I shrugged off. He called me plenty of hurtful words that are still etched into my mind ,however some days I cry myself to sleep believing that they were true. 

I got up out of bed, showered, brushed my teeth and re-did my messy bun because now it just looked like a mess it isn't even in bun form.

"Annastagia hurry up its already 8 o'clock and we're late!" Allia screamed from downstairs. We were going to get a present for her boyfriend to celebrate their anniversary. Something that was definitely 'NOT' on my to-do list for today.

You might think I'm being a mean best friend ,but I don't like Faze and yes, his name is 'Faze'. He's the 'I only want to get in your pants type of guy' and they've been together for 6 months and there is an anniversary already. If you asked me, every time I see him I want to punch him in the face. It's a dream of mine, ever since his stepbrother cheated on me with a random girl I wanted to bash both of their faces in.
Dreams do come true right. Hopefully!

And now she is dragging me with her to get a present for the guy and she knows how much I hate him, she knows it ,but every time she says 'You just need to get to know him he's sweeeeeeeet'. We repeat this conversation over and over every time she brings him up in a conversation, which is half of the time.

I dressed in a black varsity crop with some black tights and black vans. I like to stay color coded Allia calls it boring ,but she doesn't get my style.

I walked down stairs to see Elliz and Bobby sitting down on the couch, watching television. They allow me to call them by their first name but I still call Elliz mom ,because she's like the mom I never had.
Even though my mom died 11 years ago, I still have a few memories of her and I when I was a little girl. The rest were beaten out of me by my abuser aka 'dad'. "Morning Anna, how are you feeling?" Elliz asked.

"Great! You two ready to go on your honey moon for '3 months" I said trying to sound like Elliz when she told us how long it was going to be. "What? Are you going to miss us? You two are going to have this whole house to yourselves for three months and our credit card. Which is only to be used for serious matters. And you'll also have fun with; um what's his name... Lazono yeah him".

I cringed as she mentioned my ex's name, "Lazono and I are not in a relationship any more so please don't mention his name". "Oh I'm very sorry to hear that ,but you and Allia will have plenty of fun without what's his face", she said smiling sincerely. I smiled at her attempt to cheer me up. Allia walked down the stairs acting as though she wasn't listening in on our conversation.

"Anna leggo," Allia spoke up. "To infinity and beyond," and with that we ran out the door.

After a long day of shopping

"Oh my gosh you did not have to spend $650.00 on that idiot," I said to her while looking at the receipt. She bought him one of those expensive watches which caused $400.00 with a ticket to see the Lakers play $200.00 and also a box of expensive sweets $50.00.
"Are you seriously telling me this? Okay let me tell you something, when you find the boy that you love and you're doing this I'm going to say I told you so because I told you so!"
"All I'm saying is when he does something to you and you break up, I'm going to say I told you so because I told you so!" I said mocking her voice.

 "You know what just because 'LAZONO' did that to you doesn't mean it will happen to me, you guys were not meant to be that's not my fault".

Okay wow did she really say that just now?
I'm not going to lie that hurt a lot coming from my best friend. For the rest of drive home it was silent, not the comfortable silence the 'awkward' one. It has never been this silent, even the radio choose to be silent, even though I could have turned it on.

When we arrived home I rushed out of the car I couldn't take it anymore, the silence becoming unbearable. When I entered Elliz and Bobby were standing at the front door causing me to run into Bobby, thank God we didn't fall that would be a mess.
"Holdup their kiddo what you running from?" he said as he helped me up.  "Nothing nothing at all, got to keep up the cardio," wow what am I saying?
"Since you two are back we have some good news, our flight has been moved to tomorrow 8:00 a.m!"Elliz said full of excitement.

"My anniversary is tomorrow thanks for the reminder mom I got to find out what I'm going to wear, oh my gosh my hair!" Allia shouted as she ran quickly up the stairs. "Well you're welcome and Anna please take care of her and yourself and the house don't go too crazy," she said with a warning look on her face. 

"I'll try not to ,but we'll be good I promise," I said. After saying 'good night' I went upstairs to find Allia it doesn't make sense we fight about Faze, so I'm going to apologize.

I was walking towards her room, when the door swung open and I bumped into her. "Oh I'm so sorry, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry. I should not have told you that. I was wrong, he was a horrible boyfriend and maybe Faze might or might not be like him. I still like him though, so I'm sorry." With that I pulled her into a bear hug. When we finished hugging and talking a bit more I went inside to take a hot bath. As I removed my clothes, I paused as my eyes drifted at the scar on my back in the mirror. I tried to ignore it ,but it reminded me of that horrible day. That's why I kept on having nightmares and now that he's out, it only makes it worse.

 I don't know what to do.

I'm permanently SCARRED.
