I was running probably the worst cold known to man kind. The tempreture of my body was so high, my mother feared I might need to go to the hospital, but I somehow could convince her on nursing me in my bed. Though she came in every hour to check on me, if I was feeling any better.

Each time I told her I was fine, that the medicine helped a lot, which was in fact true and that is the reason an idea crossed my mind. A very dumb, I can even say terrible idea, full of consequences, but I needed to atleast give it a try.

As I said, we had a really important match and I couldn't miss it. What's more I didn't want to miss it for the world, so that is why I gathered all my strength and got out of the warmth of my bed and started to walk down the hallway of our small, but in fact really cosy house, towards my sister's room. When arriving in front of it, I gently brought my knuckles against the wood and knocked three times.

'Come in!' I heard Layne yelling from somewhere inside her room, so I pushed the door open and stepped inside, my eyes searching for Layne, since I couldn't catch her at first.

'How are you feeling?' she asked and I turning my head to where her voice came from. My sister was leaning above her desk, probably doing some assignment for university.

'Fine.' I croacked out, voice weak and raspy. To that, she immediately snapped her head up and turned around in her rolling chair to take a better look at me.

'Yeah, funny!' my sister snorted the second she saw my pale face. Folding her arms across her chest, she was eyeing me wearly from the distance.

'I'm not here for your questions.' I told her, growing frustrated by the minute, that Layne was holding me up with unnesecary questions, when in about an hour, I needed to be on the pitch, cradded in my sports gear, ready to crash Seattle. 'I need your help.'

'Okay?!' my sister said, with suspicion in her voice. 'With what?'

'I have to go to the match today and I really need you to cover for me.' I explained, while a shudder from my sickness rocked my body.

'Skyler, you're sick-' Layne started, but I cut her off.

'I know, but it's a really important-' I said, stopping midsentence to cough into my fist. 'It's a really important game and I need to be there. I can't let the others down.' I explained, hoping I was convincing enough to have my sister on my side, just as the many-many times before.

But when she didn't answer me, I started to get worried, that my pleas might not be enough to persuade her, so I needed to keep going and resorte to tactics I've never really like, but this time, I didn't feel like I've had another choice.

'Please, Layne. Just this once.' I said, walking up to her.

'You always say this.' she chuckled and I knew I was successful. Well that went faster than I thought it would.

'So?!' I asked, just in case it was a chuckle of disbelief, rather than agreement, but when my sister shook her head and waved me off, I knew I was outstanding enough. 'Thank you!' I told her, with a huge grin on my face. 'Just cover for me okay. Try to divert mom's attention, I don't know watch a movie or something.'

'Don't worry Sky.' my sister smiled at me. 'I have it all planned out.'

'Thank you.' I said, backing up to the door, opening it gently.

'But don't go out yet.' Layne warned. 'I'll tell mom to come to the mall with me now, she'll probably check on you before we go, so until then stay in bed, okay?!'

'Yeah, okay.' I nodded. 'And thank you again.' I grinned.

'It's alright, but now go if you want to be there for the start.' my sister urged and I slipped out of her room and hurried into mine. Falling down to the bed, I pulled the still warm covers on my body and waited for Layne to get shit done, then my mother to come into my room, then I was free and I could go to the match.
