Sam's P.O.V.
I waited until early morning for Avallone. I never heard her come home, since I fell asleep around 3.

I walked into her bedroom after my morning run.
"Avallone, I've got to go to work. Do you - Avallone?" I cut myself off with a shout. She wasn't in her bedroom. I ran through the rest of the apartment, screaming her name, but no reply ever came. She was gone.

Nick Fury's P.O.V.
It had been hours since Agent Avallone had gone into Loki's cell, and I was starting to show my worry.
I had been worried the whole time, but it's not like I would ever show it without cause.
But now, I had my cause. I promised the Avengers that nothing would happen to her. Though I do not fear the team, I would not be able to tell them that something bad had happened to her.
Finally, the door opened, and Avallone stepped out. Her brown hair was loosely hanging around her shoulders, different from the braid it had been in before.
"Are you alright?" I asked, stepping forward to offer her an arm. She smiled and took an unsteady step towards me.
"I'm just a little tired, I guess. Can I go home?" She asked me. I knew what she meant as well. She wanted to go back to the Avengers tower, but I couldn't let that happen.
"Not the tower, but you can stay here if you like and train. The Avengers will be home any day now, and they will most likely be coming here." I said. She eyed me suspiciously, obviously aware that I was hiding something from her.
I couldn't tell her just yet. Maybe sometime soon. Maybe. I'm Nick Fury though, I shouldn't have to tell anyone anything.
"Really? I'll go tell Sam," she said, racing off before I could stop her. She must be really excited to tra- Loki. She is excited for Loki. Of course. How did I now make that connection sooner?
"Maria," I said into my earpiece. "Prepare a room for Agent Avallone at once," I commanded as soon as I had heard her answer me.
"Yes sir."

Avallone's P.O.V.
My head was pounding as I ran to Sam's apartment. I had to tell him, I just had to. He was right. You know, about my memories coming back.
I was just about to burst through the door when I heard a familiar voice.
"Avallone. Why, what a pleasure it is to see you here! Especially so soon after your car crash." The voice was sickeningly sweet, but it was forced.
"Harrison," I hissed between clenched teeth. My hand was still on the door handle. I could escape now, but what good would that do?
"At least turn around when we are talking, Avvy. I feel strange talking to your back," he said. I could hear the devious smile in his voice, and I dreaded turning around.
But I did. And, then I gasped.
"Eli! What are you doing?" I half-yelled. Oh, I wish Sam was home to hear this.
Eli swallowed and glanced at his feet. "I -"
"Don't mind him, darling. Oh, but I'm sure you would mind hearing how your little friend, Soldier Boy is going, am I right?"
Harrison asked, winking at me.
I flinched. James.
"Where is he? What have you done to h-"
"Is that the boyfriend that Sam told me about? Or is your boyfriend Harrison?"
Harrison and I both gaped at Eli for a quick moment.
"Very funny kid, but no, I'm not her boyfriend. But I can't say the same for the other guy." Harrison replied before I could.
My stomach fell as I watched Harrison glance back towards a car. Slowly, the black door was opened, and a man stepped out.
James.
"Oh God, what have you done to him?" I shouted, furious. His metal arm was scratched deeply. His once beautiful eyes were hollow and heavy bags hung underneath them. His hair was scruffy and knotted.
"I've reset him. He asked me to, mind you. I guess someone just didn't want to remember what damage you had caused him. I would have forgotten myself, if I wasn't reminded 24/7 by my stupid limp that you gave me," Harrison sneered. I hadn't noticed his limp, but now that he has mentioned it, it does occur to me that he does limp.
"I did what had to be done. You and your stupid friends were on to me, and I needed to make the first move before I was beaten to a pulp." My voice was steady and calm now, but I felt the complete opposite.
"You remember it all, don't you? I was wondering how long it would take you. How long as it been? Hmm, let's see. It's been at least a few months since I caused you plane to, uh, malfunction. You have done better than I thought! Shall we go out to dinner to celebrate?" Harrison teased me, and it made my stomach churn. Beside him, Eli started to sweat.
"No one will be celebrating except me," a deep yet scary voice said, coming out of nowhere. Gosh, everyone is popping up out of nowhere. Who next? Batman?
Pause.
Bruce Wayne wouldn't be popping up anywhere. He lives in a total different place. It's like he doesn't even exist in this universe. Ugh.
Resume.
It was Director Nick Fury. Gosh, he must have followed me and listened to the whole conversation. I swear that being an agent is sometimes just a glorified version of intense stalking.
"Oh, come on! I was having fun!" Harrison complained, throwing his hands into the air. He looked like an oversized baby.
"Harrison Matthew Johns, you are under arrest," an unfamiliar voice said. This cop did just come here, out of the blue, but I didn't know him, so my annoyance was settled.
"Oh thank goodness. I wish I could've done that sooner." I wiped my forehead in mock exhaustion.
"It's not legal for you to do so, Agent Avallone." Nick corrected my mistake.
I chuckled. "Yeah, I guess so. What are we going to do with James, Eli and all of Harrison's lackeys?" We walked towards the car that Nick had arrived in. Black. Hmm, that's so agenty.
"I don't know, but I'll contact Agent Maria. I'll need you to help with them though. The Soldier looks like he has been through a lot, and your school buddy looks absolutely down. The rest, most likely are probably glad to be off of Harrison's side. The guy's a crook." Director Fury offered me a small smile as we got into the car. Maybe he was finally warming up to me.
"Yeah I know."
