Natasha's P.O.V.
I knew that Avallone had found out about the mission when she stormed into my room with her delicate hands on her curvy hips.
Ooooh, she is mad.
"Natasha! What the - Why didn't you - I just - Gah!" she collapsed onto the couch beside me, breathless.
I chuckled. She took it better than I expected. But how she was going to take the thing that would matter more to her, was beyond my vivid imagination.
"I should have told you, but you know what Fury's like. He is the only guy around here that I am actually afraid of. Apart from you, that is," I nudged her arm in a mock gesture, but she slinks away to the kitchen.
"Don't drink all my alcohol!" I yelled when I heard the fridge being opened. Even though she had drastically changed after the crash, I still knew that she would find comfort in alcohol. Always have, always will. There are some things about us, that not even oceans can wash away.
"So, leaving tonight; how do you feel about that?" I asked, sounding the movie Freaky Friday.
"Now is not the time for therapy, Nat, but anyway, I don't really know. Being with James doesn't worry me, but it's Loki that I'm concerned about." She fingered her necklace as she spoke, which set me thinking.
She loved Loki before the crash, and that necklace was from his mother, right? Was there any way that there was a connection there once a upon a time? It didn't seem likely, considering that this 'Mother Frigga' lady was dead and all, but Fury was dead, yet alive, Coulson was dead but lived, even Steve was dead but lived. The list goes on, but really, it's obvious.
It could be possible. A slight chance, but it was there.
"Natasha?" Avallone asked, waving her hand in front of my face. Out of instinct, I went to snap her wrist, but she pulled back before I could even close my hands around her arm.
"Sorry, I was thinking." I apologized. She was the only one I think I have ever apologized to. It goes to show how much I truly care for this woman in front of me.
"Penny for your thoughts?" She queried, quirking an eyebrow. Gosh, I was going to miss her while we were gone. Despite not having the best relationship with her, I know that I was going to miss her more than anything, expect, maybe one. But, he'll be with me there anyway, why would it matter?
"I was just thinking about the mission." It wasn't a complete lie, but it did have some untruth to it.
"You're lying." She stated, staring at me with her dark brown eyes. Wow, they were huge and intimidating. No wonder half the team of men have fallen for her. She really is beautiful.
"I- how did you know?" I stuttered, unable to comprehend how she knew I had lied to her. I was the best liar out there; I am the Black Widow.
"You have you're little things you do when you lie. You look me straight in the eye when you do. If you weren't lying, you would casually glance around every now and then, like your doing now. Also, you have a little invisible sparkle in your eye when you lie. I can see it because I know you so well, but it would be nothing in the eye of anyone here." Her explanation was thorough, pointing out my flaws in my technique. I guess that though I may have been taught by the best, that they just couldn't teach me these things. Only experience could.
But how did she find that out? It would take a master assassin to pick up on the tiny mistakes I make, which are not often at all.
Maybe that was one of the many reasons Fury hired her. He never told us all the reasons. I chose to believe it as because she could kick ass and look great doing it, but maybe he saw something there that I couldn't. Maybe he saw potential for a full field agent, maybe even a master assassin.
But, I wouldn't let her be subjected to the horrors of being an assassin, and I know that the others of the tower would agree.
It would scar her more than she already is.

Avallone's P.O.V.
Once again, Natasha looked deep in thought, her mind obviously anywhere but here. I took that as my cue to leave.
Thankfully, I had calmed down about the mission, I guess I owe a ' thank you' to Nat, but now is not the time. I kind of just realized that this place has security cameras everywhere, and they would have my life here on video. Yes, I am a genius.
"Avallone, I was just looking for you!" A voice interrupted my search. It came from behind me, and I turned to face the owner of the voice. He looked familiar, but I couldn't . . .
'Phil! Oh my goodness, your name is Phil!" I shrieked. It came back, clear as day to me. I met him first when he asked for . . . a muffin? Why was that meeting so special?
"Uh, I haven't re-met you since the - Wait, you remember?" His gaze was quizzical and held a hint of something along the lines of worry.
"Yeah, I think I do, something about you at least. Blueberry muffins, right?" I quirked an eyebrow, smiling at him.
Phil nodded slowly and reached up to his ear. "Sir, this is a code 241." Um, who was he talking to? I'm sure his ear wouldn't be able to reply, right?
"Here, take this." Phil dug into his top pocket and offered me a Bluetooth that hooked onto your ear. Ah, I guess what was what he was talking to. I had sincerely hoped that he hadn't called his ear 'sir'.
"Thanks. Why do I need this?" I asked as I strapped it onto my ear and turning it on. It started crackling for a few seconds before I could hear voices on the line.
"Just so we can communicate with you whenever we need to," He replied before nodding at me and leaving.
This was all so weird. My best friends were leaving on a dangerous mission, I got a quirky ear-piece, and I was starting to remember more stuff now. But I guess it is also cool, in a way. I'm more accepted now in the group, and now that I have started remembering things, maybe it will all come back to me soon.
Wouldn't it be awesome if it all came back to me while they were on their mission, and I would be able to surprise them when they got back?
