3 shards of broken glass

Prom night/ the end.

Twas the night of prom the air was filled with rigidity. Autumn was in her room with her makeup layed out in a precise order just as Amelia had taught her with her music blasting. Amelia was in her house running up and down the stairs filled with uncertainty. Reece was in his room left in the dark metaphorically and quite literally, Roger had kept him in there as a punishment for not eating and to ensure his plan would fall into place just like how the last piece of a jigsaw fits perfectly. Reece was his last piece of his evil games.

As soon as the father heard his little innocent girls music stop he assumed she was ready especially since the clock read "19:00" he forced Mia to write a collection time of 19:30 from Kyle. He signalled a message to the petrified red-head the plan was about to begin so she must be ready.

He strolled into Reece's room and nonchalantly said "oh your sister's date is about to arrive perhaps you know him Kenny,
Kenny Killerman" Reece's eyes widened in disgust worry and anger, Roger had a smirk on his face, the plan was working. Reece barged past his dad ran out of the house shouting at his girlfriend Mia they must meet now at the Killerman household, on the other end of the line the desperate girl was holding back tears and replied with ok.

Within minutes, the couple were in the house and Reece flung himself upstairs and was screaming louder than an upset baby at the clueless Kenny. Mia was stood from afar with her head down, she couldn't bare this torture however she just wanted her dad, a man to love her for her. In this time of Mia thinking the pair were arguing on the landing. Reece had enough so abruptly pushed him and watched him tumble all the way to the shoe rack. In that moment she just wanted to comfort him but a evil side came over her, it was now or never. Mia slyly goes to reece "reecey you ever try end our relationship i will run straight to the police station and tell them about this little...incident" Reece's jaw dropped. Why would she do this? He responded in fear and agreed. He couldn't face prison tonight showed him now more than ever he had
to stick around for his little sister. They left injured Kenny and both said in sync "dont tell anyone about this" Due to the physical repercussions for something he didn't do he knew he would never tell a soul he was too afraid what would happen.

Back at the knight household, Autumn came down the stairs in a black off the shoulder lacey ball gown. She looked like a goddess, she felt like one too. Her father of course had
to pick on something for his own satisfaction so he criticised everything he could from her nail colour to the material of the dress. She didn't let it get to her as she was the most popular boys date so she thought. The clock hit 19:30 and she saw a car pull in she assumed it was her date Kyle Killerman she opened the door with a genuine grin on her face to be greeted by her big brother holding a bouquet of dead flowers. In that moment she wanted to die. The hurt child slammed the door and ran upstairs to sit in her room and cry in her prom dress. She was so humiliated.

From afar, Roger was witnessing all of this chuckling to himself. Finally he had the full power. Reece was careless and drained at this point so sent Mia home he couldn't deal with her. Autumn was still crying like a child when their favourite toy breaks. Mia was left feeling guilty.

Before she left the house she found Roger and asked for the details to find her father but the lying man made excuse after excuse. He
requested she did one last thing for him for the information. She thought what could be worse than what just happened so she quickly agreed the desperation was taking over her life. After hearing the next request the anger took over her and she chucked a glass in the direction of Roger. The glass missed him and it fell into 3 shards of broken glass.

The 3 shards were cleaned up and binned but they remained within the so called unbreakable trio. They were never the same since.
