That minute of silence, in Rowan's arm, her lips pressed against mine, seemed to take all the weight and worry off my shoulders. My mind went blank and the only thing I could focus on was how Rowan tasted.
With everything going on recently, I barely got any time to think about our situation from a couple days ago. I didn't get the time to think about us, about what we were going to become. I know I'm going to come to a conclusion eventually, I just have no idea what it could be.
I eventually pulled away from Rowan, looking up at her, since I was a few inches shorter, I smiled and tilted my head.
- Its a costume part and your not wearing anything?
Rowan laughed, she looks so pretty when she laughs.
- I only came here to talk to you, not to play dress up.
Rowan smiled at me, she looks so pretty when she smiles
- You should probably head back to your friends. They're probably wondering where you went.
- What about you? Where are you going to go?
- Home, my mom doesn't want me to stay late.
I smiled and hugged Rowan by her waist. "I'm sorry I cant give you an answer right now, and everything".
Rowan placed one hand around my back and the other above my head. "You can take as much time as you need, I'll wait for you.
I pulled away. "Let me at least walk you to your house, the others wont even notice". Rowan stood still for a second, thoughts floating around her. "Okay, only if you want".
As soon as I heard Rowan accept, I grabbed her hand and brought her down the stair case, passing by Dana, who was basically glaring us down, what was she even doing beside the door?
Once we reached the parking lot, we began the walk to Rowan's house. It was already dark out, the sky was clear and the light from the stairs and the moon shined down on us. It was chilly out and I crossed my arms to try and warm myself up.
Rowan chuckled and took of her sweater and handed it to me. I smiled and gratefully accepted it. Until we reached Rowan's house, we were in complete silence. Just being by each other seemed to fill in all the words we could say.
We crossed a road and before I knew it, we arrived.
- Guess I'll see you at school. Rowan smiled before walking away.
- Wait! I reached out "What about your sweater?"
- Keep it.
Rowan walked off and entered her house, smiling at me one last time before closing the door behind her.
For a few seconds I stood in the middle of the drive way, still holding on to Rowan's sweater. I regained my thoughts and walked back to Noah's house.

I reached the house and entered. I scrambled across the room, trying to find my friend group until I bumped into Dana. Her arms were crossed and her face was filled with questions.
- What were you doing in that room with that girl Rowan earlier?
I stopped abruptly. "Shit".
- We were just talking. What were you doing planted in front of the door?
- I was going to talk to you but you ran off with her, holding hands might I mention.
- Cant friends do that?
- So your friends now?
I crossed my arms.
- You cant judge who I become friends with. Now will you excuse me.
I walked away but I could still feel Dana's cold eyes on me, following me across the house. This wasn't good, her being onto us - wasn't good.
