I opened my bedroom door and threw myself onto my bed.
I lie down on my back, staring at the ceiling above me, my eyes closing slowly.
What had just happened? Why did it go all by so fast?
Suddenly, I hear my mother and father enter through the front door, they're home.
My mother walks up the stairs and reaches my bedroom. Before she opens the door, I quickly sit up.
She enters, smiling brightly but her smile quickly fades, a look of confusion appears.
- Where's your friend?
- She had to go.
- Oh, I see.
My mother's about to leave but I quickly reach my arm out, calling out for her. She turns around. "Yes Zoey?". I look down, my arm falls to my side. I look back up and smile. "Never mind".
She smiles "Go to bed early, you have practice tomorrow morning".
I nod then she leaves. As soon as she does I collapse onto my back again, letting out a sigh. I wanted to talk to her, to ask her what was going on with me. Lately I've been so confused, I think I like Rowan, but Rowan is a girl and I haven't though about liking girls before. I close my eyes and roll to the side, I'm too tired to think about this.
Its late enough, I could go to bed. I get up and quickly change into some pajamas. I walk over to my bathroom and brush my teeth, staring at myself through the mirror, it feels like i don't even know who's looking at me.
I walk out of the bathroom and reach my bed again, its completely dark out, I wonder if Rowan got home safely.
I grab my phone from my bedside table and check, no new messages. I put the phone back, laying on my back again, this is all a lot.

Its the next morning. The sun rays are peeking into my window through my blinds, making my room some kind of golden color.
I reach over and check my phone, nothing new. There's no time for me to look back at what happened yesterday, I need to quickly get ready for this mornings cheer practice. I get up out of bed to go change. The house is quiet, mom and dad must still be sleeping.
I quickly get ready, wash my face, brush my teeth, take care of my hair before throwing on my uniform and grabbing my things for school. I head downstairs, the house is still quiet. I take a look outside, Mom's waiting in the car.
I grab my jacket before walking out of the house. I reach the passenger seat, mom smiles at me, coffee in her hand. "Ready for this morning?" She asks. I smile than nod.
The car ride to school isn't very long, I could walk there but the cold wind of October might be the only thing stopping me. Mom parks the car close to the front doors of Westfield Academy. "Have fun, Ill see you after school". She drives away.
I walk up the few steps to reach the school, opening then closing the front doors, leaving the cold weather behind me.
