Before I knew it the day was over and so was cheer practice.

As much as I enjoyed the sport, it was exhausting, especially after a full day of classes. I left the school gym, thinking to myself that the entire team had practiced hard, we did have a routine that we were going to have to do in front of the whole school in a few weeks for the school's football game so we had to put the effort in during practices. I quickly fixed the bow that was tied to my hair, looking down to make sure my uniform wasn't dirty or anything.

I walked from corridor to corridor, trying to reach the front doors so I could leave the building, I took my phone out of my bag and checked the messages my mom had sent me, she was waiting in the parking lot.

Suddenly I looked up from my screen and found Rowan leaving the music class, holding a guitar case in her hand. She looked up and saw me staring. She waved before walking towards me.

She smiled and I smiled back.

- Sorry again about earlier, Rowan said.

- Its okay, don't worry about it.

Rowan looked at the cheerleading uniform I was wearing.  It was a tight bodysuit with a skirt, everything was colored in shades of red and white with the word "Falcons" imprinted on the front of the bodysuit.

- So you're the cheer captain?

- Yes, how did you know?

- Willow from English class told me.

- Right. I laughed

- And I didn't know you played guitar.

Rowan looked down at her guitar case. "Oh yeah i do, I actually just went to go see the music teacher about joining the school's band".

- That's great, I hope it all works out.

- Thanks Zoey.

"Well it was nice seeing you again, i need to go tough, my mom is waiting for me in the parking lot" I said, pointing at the front doors.

"It was nice seeing you too" Rowan said, smiling.

She had a really pretty smile. Rowan had dark colored lips that were sort of in a heart shape and when she smiled I couldn't help but notice the dimples on her face.

I waved her goodbye before walking past her to leave.

Rowan did seem nice, I hope we can become friends.
