I left Mr. Harrison's class, my eyes following the figure of Rowan as she left to enter another corridor.

She seemed nice but she was too quiet for me to actually know yet. I'm sure that throughout the year we'll get to know each other and become friends, after all I'm going to have to sit next to her for all of Mr. Harrison's classes.

I tried to clear my head by taking a deep breath. I was getting too overwhelmed with all of this, its probably best if I just let things happen on their own.

My eyes shifted from the empty corridor to Dana, my close friend who was waving at me from her locker. I slowly approached her as she shut her locker, turning to me. She had her short brown hair into pig tails, her bangs covering her freckled face.

- Nice overalls, you look great Dana.

- Thanks, they go great with my shoes don't they?

- They sure do. I smiled as I looked down to her converses.

- Do you have cheer practice tonight? I was hoping you could come over to mine.

I sighed. I had completely forgotten about practice after school.

- Sorry Dana, I do have cheer tonight.

Dana sighed as well, leaning next to her locker.

"Maybe another time?" I said as I turned to walk towards my locker.

I turned to the corridor where my locker was located, to find Rowan messing with it. She was angrily turning and trying to jam it open. What was she doing?

I jogged towards her placed my things down then crossed my arms. "I think you got the wrong locker" I told her in a soft voice, tilting my head in confusion.

Rowan's eyes widened. She looked at the number written on the lock then looked at me before letting go of my lock and placing her hands on her face. "Sorry" she blurted out.

"No sweat" I chuckled. "It happens".

Rowan smiled, before opening the locker next to mine.

Lockers next to each other? Now I had to become her friend. Not only was I going to see her in Mr. Harrison's classes but I was also going to see her whenever I would go to my locker.

"So, how do you like Westfield Academy so far?" I asked while grabbing binders out of my locker.

"Its not terrible, but I don't really like school in the first place" She said.

Rowan and I both closed our lockers and faced each other.

She was a few inches taller than me and she had a tattoo of a date on her neck.

I think she noticed I was starring because Rowan quickly pressed her hands against her neck and blurted out: "What class do you have next?".

"English with Ms. Woods".

Rowan smiled, "Me too" she said as she walked away.
