I threw one a small blue t shirt and a pair of sweatpants, I scrambled into the bathroom and fixed my hair before looking at Rowan's message.
Turns out she didn't live very far, it was actually a short walk there and back.
- Zoey, you're friend's here. My mom yelled from the bottom of the stair case.
- Coming! I answered, i quickly stepped down and reached the front door and opened it.
Rowan's tall pale figure in the door frame. She was wearing a small black top with a long sleeved checkered shirt over it. She was wearing a pair of washed out ripped jeans paired with a pair of slightly dirty converse.
"You're here! Come on in" I said as I stood aside to let Rowan in.
Mom reached the living room. "Dinner's ready, we can all eat together but we have to leave right after to pick you're sister from her cheer practice".
Rowan took of her shoes and placed them near the door as she followed me into the dinning room where supper was already layed out on the table.
Rowan and I quickly finished eating. "You have a sister and you both do cheerleading? I didn't know that." She said as she got up to clean her plate.
"Yes indeed, my two captains" mom said.
I laughed and got up to clean my plate. "We'll be heading upstairs to work on the project".
"Alright, your mother and I will be back soon". Dad said as they both left the house.
"Come on" I said to Rowan as I guided her into my room upstairs.
As she walked in, Rowan's eyes scanned my room.
- Its nice here, very pink. She laughed.
- I mean I haven't really changed it since I was a kid so it's always been pink.
- That's cool, Rowan said, leaning against my closed door.
I got out my things from my backpack and placed them onto my desk. I pulled a stool from the other side of my room so that could Rowan could sit next to me.
- You're parents seem nice, Rowan said, sitting down.
- They are, I smiled, flipping through my books and binders. "Now lets get started on this project" I laughed.
Rowan leaned in, her chin placed in her hand, her face close to mine as we both stared down into my books.
- They didn't seem to mind that I dressed like this, i mean its very different than the way you dress.
- My parents don't care about that sort of thing, I said softly.

We've been working on the project for a few hours and Rowan and I both became exhausted.
"When will you're father come pick you up?" I asked.
"In a couple of hours, later tonight that is". Rowan said, getting up from the stool and sitting onto my bed.
Suddenly the thought struck me, maybe i could get to know her now.
I got up from my chair and sat on the bed next to her.
