Saying Goodbye and Not Looking Back

   I got Bea out at the field.  It's still just as beautiful as I remembered.  I walked out into the middle then gave my little speech.  "Ana I hate that I couldn't save you but I promise I will save Bea no matter what I have to do.  I love you sister.  You were the only momma I really ever had and you were my best friend.  You never turned away from me when I told you I was attracted to boys either.  You loved me no matter what.  Bea will know who her momma was and she will also grow up better than we did.  I will miss you forever now go fly off into the sunset."  I held Bea in one arm and opened the bag with her ashes so we could run through the field while spreading Ana's ashes to free her from this messed up world.  I felt Bea wipe tears off my face she said "No cry, Unc Tim."  Once we had spread all her ashes I went home packed a quick bag, grabbed my money and headed out.  I have no idea where we are going but I will not let Sam get her.  I placed my tablet back with Bea so she could watch cartoons because I need to get some miles between Sam and us.  

     I drove for about twelve hours before I decided to stop for the night because Bea was miserable.  I plan on sleeping for a few hours then get back on the road.  I helped Bea brush her teeth and then we went to bed.  I slept hard but my alarm went off quick.  I got Bea a donut with some milk to eat as we left the hotel.  I drove for another ten hours and felt like I would die if I didn't stop and get at least eight hours of sleep.  I pulled into a run down motel and got us a room.  I locked the door and put a chair in front of it.  I put some food out for Bea then grabbed myself a shower.  I was so tired.  I got Bea into bed and turned on the TV and drifted off to sleep.  I woke the next morning feeling much better.  We got back on the road and my cell started ringing from an unknown number.  I answered it without thinking like a dumbass.  I heard Sam's voice "Tim get my daughter back here now or you will regret it.  I mean it, if I have to come find her I will put a bullet between your eyes."  Shit why did I answer the damn phone?  I told him "Sam you will not mess with this little girl and kill her like you did my sister.  Fuck you!"  I then hung up my phone then threw it out my window.  I will not let him get her.  I drove for several hours with so much anxiety because I know Sam can pull strings and get me in a lot of trouble.  

     I pulled over at a little mom and pop diner so we could hopefully get a decent meal.  I am tired of fast food or gas station food.  I plan on as soon as we settle somewhere to make sure Bea eats healthier.  We take a seat and it seems to be a pretty busy place.  The waitress came over to hand me a menu and Bea some paper with crayons.  She asked if she could get us something to drink and I ordered us both orange juice.  I looked over the menu and debated on what to get.  I heard a commotion at the door and turned to see what I assume is a biker club coming in.  Man they were some hot ass dudes let me tell you.  I turned my head as some turned to look at me.  I don't need to piss one of them off by looking at them as if they are steak on a stick.  The waitress comes back to get our order and I order the special which is meatloaf, mash potatoes and green beans.  She looks to Bea and asked her what she wanted Bea answered "Pannycakes."  The waitress smiled big and then complimented me on my daughter.  I thanked her and as she walked away I saw her turn back with a blush to her face.  She is pretty but she has the wrong parts if you know what I mean.  Our food comes pretty quick and we eat up.  It was really good.  I get up to pay and Bea gets down on the floor beside me.  She ends up running off as I am paying.  I turned to go after her and found her sitting in the lap of one of the hot ass biker dude.  Holy mother of God where did he come from?  I walked over and apologized.  He smiles at me then says "No worries this little princess just wanted to say hello to all of us hooligans."  Damn his smile is pretty .  I go to get Bea but she hugs up to the man.  He stands up to hand her to me.  The other bikers are making jokes to the guy about how he needed to have a little girl of is own.  He laughs it off after handing over Bea I thanked him then we left.

     We stopped to get gas then some snacks for the road.  I helped Bea find some coloring books with crayons because she is getting bored now.  We leave out and I have no clue where we are going just that we will keep going until I feel we are safe.  I haven't driven very far when my car starts acting up.  I pulled over to the side before it died completely.  Shit, I do not need this at all.  I lift the hood to check to see if I can figure it out.  I used to be a mechanic but traded jobs trying to make more money to help get Ana away from her hell hole.  After a few minutes I realized it's not going to be an easy fix.  This is not good at all.  I don't have a lot of money left and the parts are going to be expensive to fix this piece of junk.  I say a few curse words but stop when I hear Bea shout "Dammit."  Okay Uncle Tim time to watch your mouth.  I walked over to the window to tell Bea "Sweetie don't say that okay.  Uncle Tim said a bad word and he shouldn't have."  I see a tear start to fall.  I get her out of the car and reassured her it's okay because she didn't know that I needed time out for saying it.  She giggles and hugs me.  Oh be still my heart this little is my everything now.  I guess my only option is to find a tow truck to come haul my car to a mechanic shop and get a price.  I am thankful that I bought a burner phone at the store earlier.  I call for a tow and they told me it be about thirty minutes because the guy is on lunch break.  I take Bea to a park just across the street.  I will be able to see the truck when it pulls up.  

     Bea jumped right into playing.  There was several kids there playing some close to her age.  I sit down and see couple of women near by.  I give them a smile and a head nod.  I watch Bea play and feel my heart get lighter watching her just be a little kid.  A few minutes later I see one of the kids run to his mother to get a drink and snack.  She walks over to me and introduces herself "Hey my name is Cherry and that over there is my friend Juniper.  I was wondering if it's okay if I gave your little girl a snack too?"  I smiled and introduced myself "Nice to meet you, my name is Tim and that is Bea.  I don't mind if you are sure about it?"  She smiles at me then walks over to give Bea a juice box and a cookie.  Bea smiles up at her but doesn't say anything.  I will work on that once we are settled.  I want her to be polite.  The two ladies end up coming to sit near me.  The girl named Juniper asked "I saw you with your hood up.  I take it your car  broke down?"  I replied yes and explained that I had called a tow truck.  Cherry smiled and said "Awe man you caught them on their lunch break but Rocky should be here soon or Hotshot.  Hotshot is my husband."   We had small talk for a few minutes but then I saw the truck pull up.  I go to pick up Bea but they told me to go on they would watch her while I talked to the tow truck driver.  I ran across the street and realized it was one of the damn hot biker dudes here.  I looked up to the prettiest blue eyes I have ever seen.  He gave me a nod then asked me what happened.  I told him what I figured out and he asked me if I knew about fixing cars.  I explained how I used to do it but it's been a couple years.  He asked me where I was staying but I explained that we were just passing through.  I learned the guy is called Rocky.  I wish I had me a Rocky.  Rocky told me that it would be tomorrow before they could even take a look so I would need to stay in town for the night.  I asked where a cheap place maybe and he told me where I could go.  Juniper came up behind me with Bea in her arms.  Bea was crying and reached for me.  I held her close and reassured her that I was not leaving her.  Juniper offered to give us a ride to the hotel.  Rocky gave her a look and she just smiled at him telling him he worried too much.  However before we finished up a guy on a motorcycle pulled up.  He was huge and pretty.  He walked over to Juniper giving her a kiss.  Juniper introduced him as her husband Tank.  Can I have one order of Tank please?  He said he would follow behind Juniper to the hotel.  I smiled a little when she glared at him.  He slapped her ass then talked to Rocky for a minute while I put our car seat and bags in Juniper vehicle.  Rocky and I exchanged numbers then I left with Juniper to head to the hotel.  It was very small but a quaint little place.  I went to get the room while Bea waited with them.  Tank helped me carry our stuff to the room and I thanked them both for their help.   Bea needed a bath after playing in the sandbox at the park.  I bathed her real quick then we ate some of our snacks before watching TV.  I figure later on I will have a pizza delivered.  We ended taking a long nap but was woken up by knocking on our door.  I was scared to even look outside but I did and saw Tank.  I opened my door and he gave me a bag of food said his wife Juniper was worried about us eating.  Bea ran up to him and asked "Up pwease?"  Tank picked her up and played with her for a minute.  I thanked him for the food and we said goodbye.  I fixed us both a plate of spaghetti and some garlic bread.  She even had a gallon of tea and chocolate cake for dessert.  I wished I married myself to Juniper after eating that meal right there, wrong parts don't matter.  We both stuffed ourselves then went to bed.  Tomorrow is a new day.
