    "You're a kook. I'm a pogue," JJ says, his voice rough. "We both know this would never work. I'm doing this for you, Y/N."
    He turns, starting to walk away.
    "No," you call out, your voice trembling but firm. He stops, his back still to you, but you know he's listening. "If you walk away, it's for you. Because I know what I want..." you pause and inhale sharply, "JJ, I love you."
    He stands there, frozen for a heartbeat, before he finally turns around, eyes searching yours. In an instant, he's in front of you, his hands framing your face as he pulls you into a kiss—right there in front of the kooks, in front of everyone.
    You pull back, breathless, glancing around at the disapproving stares. "JJ... the kooks..."
    He shakes his head, a grin spreading across his face. "I don't care."
    And with that, he kisses you again, and you realize you don't care either.
