i have no creative title for this one 💀 but uhhh like...finally the inosuke fanfic i was doing is over (it took over a year😔) i had fun but it was tiring, also forgive any grammar mistakes plz (no autocorrect and i forgot how to put it back on so all my stories have terrible grammar) anyways yeah.

tw there is some self harm in this, i kinda just needed some comfort but yk

It was nice outside, the leaves were changing, the wind was at that point where it was cool, but not to cold, but the temperature was going to plummet soon, so you'd have to enjoy it while it lasted.

It was one of those days where it was warm in the sun, but the gound was cool. It was lovely. Dawn Winery was always so beautiful around this time of year, fall. The grapes were being harvested, in fact you could see a few people out there harvesting grapes right now. The trees were beautiful. The bright colors popping everywhere you looked.

You assumed your break was over and stepped inside the building. It was about to get busy, what with everyone getting off work and all. Not you though. You step behind the bar, you expect that Montsdat's drunkard bard, Venti would show up at some point, either trying to sneak in, or in some poorly curated disguise. You sigh. You didn't mind him, but he was always a hassle. You see José, Dawn Winery's bard arrive. You nod in a greeting. After a few minutes patrons begin to arrive, and you start mixing drinks, pouring whiskey, serving up beer, and, something Dawn Winery just started providing, meals. Some of the customers were quite loud, and rowdy. This old guy sitting at the bar who you'd never seen before was clearly super intoxicated and was hitting on you constantly. It was really starting to get on your nerves, he was giving you the creeps.

"Listen~" The man slurs drunkenly. "You're a sweet young lady...why don'tcha come with me?~ I could show you things I know you ain't never seen. Why, I bet I could-" The man jolts as he feels a large, firm hand on his shoulder.

"Say sir, I think you've had a bit much to drink, am I right?" Says the red haired man, Diluc, with a firm hand on the drunk mans shoulder.

"Wacha mean? I ain't drunk! Back off!" The drunk man grumbles.

"I think it's time you left." Diluc say, his voice low and serious.

"And who are you to tell me what to do?" The drunk man slurs, spewing spittle across Diluc's face.

Diluc wipes his face with his other hand, his voice and face dangerously calm, a sign he was fuming. "I happen to own this establishment. Now get your disgusting ass out of here or I'll make you, we clear?"

"How can you prove that?" The drunk man slurs, clearly not intimidated.

Diluc grabs the man's collar, dragging the man off the stool, letting him fall to the ground with a loud THUMP. Diluc drags the man across the floor, quite literally tossing him out the door. "You're not welcome here!" He dusts off his hands, turning to you. "A washcloth if you please?" He asks, his tone softer.

You nod, wetting a cloth and handing it to him. He takes it, wiping his face. "Disgusting..." He mutters.

"Sir I-" You began to apologize, but he cuts you off. "No. It's not your fault, he was an ass who couldn't listen to authority. He's an old man hitting on a young lady, absolutely shameful." He says, his voice falling back into a monotone.

You nod and get back to work. Diluc leaves, heading to his room. Eventually your shift ends. You used to live all the way in Monstadt, you needed the money and no one else was hiring, so you'd have to walk here and back every day, it was exahusting. Diluc took notice and generously let you stay in an open room in his house. You silently thanked Diluc as you had many times before as you climbed the stairs to your room. You were exahusted.
