Alice and Peeta made they're way back up to they're apartment, ''Haymitch is gonna kill you'' Peeta said and she chuckled. ''He can try'' she smirked, ''Yeah well try not to kill him we might need him'' he joked cracking a smile. ''Yeah well all jokes aside im glad you taught that asshole from 1 a lesson'' he exclaimed before the doors opened revealing a very angry Haymitch.

''What ever happened to not showing any of your strengths'' Haymitch barked, ''I changed my mind'' she shrugged smirking and walking past him. ''Now all the careers know your strengths and weaknesses'' he stated angrily. ''Did you not hear what happened?'' Peeta asked him ''the careers turned on each other'' Haymitch seemed too shocked to speak. After pulling himself together ''What'' he shouted surprised, ''Yeah after Alice practically destroyed the boy from 1's ego the girl from 2 punched him and knocked him out cold'' Peeta explained. 

Haymitch's eyes narrowed at Alice ''Have you been talking to other districts?'' he snapped at her, ''Get the fuck out of my face its not my fault your hammered most of the time to even notice plus you never said i couldn't'' she sneered glaring back at Haymitch. ''Yeah well now i am you shouldn't be getting attached to tributes your going to have kill in the end'' he sighed going over to the kitchen and grabbing a glass bottle filled with caramel colored liquid. He took the lid of and took a swig out of it. ''Im not getting attached but i'd rather them like me even just a little bit so im not number one on they're kill list'' she hissed ''Now im going to bed, bye bitches'' she waved them off and went to her room.

She could hear Peeta and Haymitch bickering in the kitchen but she ignored it until she heard a knock at her door. The door opened and Peeta walked in sitting on the bed, ''Hey just ignore him alright he's cranky'' he joked. Making her smile a little, he put his arm around her and pulled her closer, ''Im scared'' she admitted ''For the games?'' ''Yes but also for tomorrow'' he hugged her closer making her feel something she hadn't felt in a while. Comfort.

''Stay with me tonight'' she asked him and he nodded, they stayed like that whole night. Alice eyes squinted as the sunlight flooded her room. There was a knock at her door and Haymitch stumbled in already drunk, ''Alright star crossed lovers time to get up for training'' he slurred. She scoffed and removed Peeta arm from her shoulder and got up, she walked out to the bathroom. ''Got a little crush have we'' Haymitch smirked giving Peeta a small shove as he got up as well. When Alice got back to her room, she put on a jumpsuit and made her way to the dining room. She sat down at the table and grabbed a piece of toast and started eating it. Peeta soon came and sat down as well, ''So you ready for training? he asked her. 

''Im kinda nervous but i'll be fine'' as soon as they finished they made they're way down on the elevator to the training centre. Some of the tributes stared at her as she made her way to knife station and started practicing. ''You're quite good at that'' Clove stated coming up behind her and making her jump ''Holy fuck Clove you scared the shit out of me'' she laughed. ''Sorry'' she smirked and grabbed a knife ''Here let me help you'' she offered and she nodded. She gently grabbed Alice's arm and helped her throw with accuracy, ''Hope im not interrupting'' Cato smirked as he walked over ''How come every time i see you two you are touching each other'' Alice and Clove just laughed. But Alice's smile faded as she saw Marvel and Glimmer walking towards them.

''You shouldn't touch her Clove you might catch her disease'' he sniggered, ''Oh fuck off'' Clove retaliated making his eyes go wide. ''Well she is not joining our alliance so don't get attached she'll be the first person i kill in the arena'' he smirked and Glimmer nodded. ''Well fine im leaving the alliance'' she shrugged going back to helping Alice. ''Just ignore him'' she whispered into Alice's ear making her smile. ''You can't leave!'' Marvel demanded, ''Sorry what was that i don't speak snob'' she smirked making Cato let out a chuckle. Marvel tried to grab Alice's arm but Cato quickly stopped him, ''Touch either of them and i kill you'' he glared making both district 1 tributes scoff in disbelief. 

''You've both gone soft'' he shook his head in disbelief turning away and pulling Glimmer with him, ''You don't have to leave the alliance'' Alice said but Clove just shook her head ''I was getting sick of them anyway besides we have each other'' she squeezed Alice's arm softly making her smile. Clove turned to Cato ''You in or out'' she asked him, ''Sure im in as long as i can kill that son of a bitch Marvel'' he smirked. ''Done'' they all laughed and got back to training.

''Maybe you have gone soft'' she whispered into his ear smirking, he grabbed her waist and pulled her in. ''Well you're making me hard so-'' he smirked into her ear. Her face went red in an instant ''Ew'' she said, ''I never thought i could be good'' he admitted, ''Sorry i was never good like you'' she pulled him in for a hug. ''I like you the way you are'' she smiled ''Now please teach me how to use a sword''
