Alice walked off stage and was greeted with Cato's arms around her, ''You did amazing'' Cato whispered into her ear. Alice smiled softly and leaned forward, she connected her lips with his. ''Gross'' Clove said smirking slightly, ''Shut up'' Cato replied chuckling. ''She's right'' Peeta said walking over to them. Alice laughed into Cato's chest and he held her even tighter, ''Hey lovebirds'' Haymitch called walking over whiskey bottle in hand. Brutus and Enobaria followed close behind him smirking, ''Alright people lets go up to our floor'' Brutus called and they walked to the elevator.
Cato intertwined his fingers with hers and gently pulled her towards the elevator, there was a silence looming as they all stood in the elevator. ''Hey hold the elevator'' a man called, and Brutus scowled. Finnick entered the elevator with his 2 tributes, the doors closed and she held Cato's hand tighter. ''Brutus, Enobaria, Haymitch'' Finnick smirked, ''Finnick'' Enobaria hissed flashing her sharp teeth. ''Charming as ever Enobaria'' Finnick remarked but she just ignored.
''Drama'' Clove mouthed and Alice let out a snort which made Clove let out a laugh, Cato looked at the girls confused and then turned to Peeta. Giving him a 'what the fuck' look but Peeta just shrugged confused as well. Alice tried to contain her laughter as all 4 adults turned to her, Clove put her hand over her mouth as she tried to laugh as quiet as possible. But soon they reached 2 and the doors opened saving Alice and Clove, they both stumbled out laughing. ''Alright so the games start tomorrow so let go over strategy'' Enobaria told them, they sat at the dining room table for hours discussing strategy over dinner.
Alice yawned and rested her head on Cato's shoulder, he put his arm around her waist pulling her closer. Her stomach ached with nervousness and fear as she thought of the horrors to come, only one of them could come out and she wanted it to be Cato.
''Im scared'' Alice muttered into Cato's ear, ''I won't let anybody hurt you'' Cato whispered back. ''But what if you die and im left alone'' she mumbled, ''Darling you'll never walk alone''
