𝕀 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕒 𝕝𝕠𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕒𝕪 𝕥𝕠 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕐𝕖𝕒𝕙, 𝕀 𝕘𝕠𝕥 𝕒 𝕝𝕠𝕥 𝕥𝕠 𝕤𝕒𝕪𝕀 𝕟𝕠𝕥𝕚𝕔𝕖𝕕 𝕪𝕠𝕦𝕣 𝕖𝕪𝕖𝕤 𝕒𝕣𝕖 𝕒𝕝𝕨𝕒𝕪𝕤 𝕘𝕝𝕦𝕖𝕕 𝕥𝕠 𝕞𝕖𝕂𝕖𝕖𝕡𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕙𝕖𝕞 𝕙𝕖𝕣𝕖 𝕒𝕟𝕕 𝕚𝕥 𝕞𝕒𝕜𝕖𝕤 𝕟𝕠 𝕤𝕖𝕟𝕤𝕖 𝕒𝕥 𝕒𝕝𝕝

Alice stared at Cato's peaceful face as he slept, ''Your staring love'' Cato smirked groggily. ''Shut up'' she blushed, ''Only if you really want me too'' he remarked. ''You nervous?'' she asked him staring at her fingers, ''Not really, you?'' ''Im so fucking nervous i don't talk to people and people don't talk to me so what the fuck am i supposed to say i mean-''

Cato cut her off as he pressed his lips to hers, ''You're gonna be fine'' he whispered into her ear. She felt goose bumps raise on her neck as she felt his hot breath, he put his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug. ''Not now guys its too early in the morning to see that shit'' Clove groaned as she pulled herself up from the bed before hitting Peeta on the arm waking him up.

''Then just close your eyes Clover'' Cato smirked into Alice's neck, ''Gross'' she fake gagged as she walked out the door and Peeta soon followed out to go to his own room. ''Finally alone at last'' Cato smiled ''What did you have in mind?'' she teased, before he could answer there was a knock at her door and Effie walked in. She squeaked in surprise when she saw Cato stood there next to her. ''Oh hello Cato you should go back to Enobaria and Brutus before they accuse me of kidnapping their tributes'' she huffed and he laughed. ''Okay bye baby'' he blew her a kiss before leaving the room.

''I don't even wanna know but get dressed and come into the dining room we have matters to discuss'' Effie grinned before walking out the door, Alice put on a black sweater, blue jeans and black boots on before going to the dining room. She saw Effie, Haymitch and Peeta sat at the dining table ''Oh look who it is'' Haymitch called with a sly grin Alice knew the look and sighed. ''So i saw loverboy leaving your room this morning doing the walk of shame tell me everything sister'' she laughed ''I'll tell ya later because it looks like Effie is about to have a mental breakdown'' Haymitch let out a chuckle. ''Fair enough'' Effie cleared her throat.

''So we have interviews today in order to get you sponsors so were going to be working on this all day to make sure you secure some sponsors'' Effie told Alice and Peeta, ''So for the first half of the day we will spend practicing and you'll spend the other half with your stylists'' they both nodded. ''Okay great'' she squeaked making her give Haymitch a smirk, ''So Alice you're with me and Peeta your with Haymitch'' she pulled Alice into a private room. Alice didn't think the practicing would go along for very long at all but Effie used the whole 4 hours making her walk in heels or what Alice liked to call them 'death traps'

When it was time to start getting ready Cinna came and got her, ''Oh thank fuck i thought Effie was actually trying to kill me'' she joked and Cinna laughed. ''So i heard about a certain district 2 boy'' Cinna hinted and Alice rolled her eyes, ''Who told you'' ''Haymitch i think he has a bet with Brutus to see whos going to snog who first on screen'' Cinna laughed and Alice scoffed. Of course ''So do you know what i'll be wearing?'' she asked him. ''I have an idea but i'll see if you like it'' Cinna said with a soft smile.

When they reached the room they sat down and Cinna showed her his design, it was a red dress which when down to her knees and then flowed out. The hours went by fast and when Alice looked at her watch oh shit its almost time, her team did her hair and makeup and then she was escorted out to a line where all the tributes were waiting. 

Alice leaned against the wall staring into the wall in front of her bored out of her mind, ''Well don't you look beautiful'' Cato complimented and she blushed slightly. ''Thanks you look great too'' she replied and he pulled her closer, ''Hey don't worry i'll save my charm for later'' he winked at her and she let out a laugh. ''Im not worried about that im worried i'll fuck this whole interview up in front of the whole of Panem'' she ranted and he kissed her lips. ''Your going to be fine your going to do fucking great i mean you wooed me and im unwooable'' he smiled softly. ''Tributes in line now'' a man shouted and they all went back to they're places. Cato offered her a sweet smile and blew a kiss.

''Now make some noise for the male tribute from District 2, another volunteer Cato Hadley everyone'' Caesar called and the audience cheered, he walked on stage wearing a smirk. he sat down and turned towards Caesar, ''So can you tell us why you volunteered'' he asked him and Cato just smiled. ''Well i've always loved these games and i think anybody who doesn't is an idiot'' Alice's stomach churned nervously as she watched him on a tv. ''Well i wouldn't go that far-'' ''Yes i would its the hunger games'' Cato shouted which seemed to get the audience cheer even louder.

Alice couldn't tell if he was just saying it to get sponsors or if he really meant it, ''So Cato i think everybody wants to know do you have a special someone at home'' Caesar winked and Cato laughed. ''No Caesar i don't'' ''I don't believe it for one second'' ''alright well i love this girl-'' ''Who is it?'' ''Alice Everdeen'' Alice's stomach dropped. The rest of the tributes turned to her and stared, she just looked down at the floor. Soon everybody else was gone and her and Peeta were the only ones left. ''Alice Everdeen'' a man called and she stepped forward, the man escorted her to the edge of the stage where she was met with cheers as she walked on.

She smiled and waved, she looked around nervously as she sat in the seat next to Caesar. ''So i think we were all very touched when we saw you volunteer for your sister right?'' ''Yeah she's my sister Prim'' ''And you saw her before you left didn't you?'' ''Yeah'' ''Well what did you say to her in the end'' ''I told her i would try to win... for her'' the audience all awwed in sadness.

''And that was quite an entrance you made at the tribute parade'' ''I was hoping  wouldn't burn to death'' the audience laughed ''I'm wearing them today if you'd like to see'' she offered ad the audience started cheering. ''Wait wait is it safe'' ''Of course'' Alice got up and started to spin around and flames started to engulf the bottom of the dress. Everybody gasped with shock and Alice sat back down.

''And i think were also dying to know what going on between you and Cato'' he said and she laughed ''I shouldn't-'' ''C'mon tell us something'' ''Well i know that i love him also and i know that if it comes down to me or him i'll choose him'' she mumbled sadly looking down. She looked up to see some of the audience in tears, ''well she's the girl on fire everybody lets hear it one more time for Alice Everdeen''
