Bonus chapter: the 300 year war

(Morelia).

After a long day of participating in festivities the younglings went to bed but many were more curious than ever about Morelia's history and it wasn't long until Revan was Convinced to arrange another story time with the Grand countess.

Walking back the throne room Avona similes at them as she gestures for them to take their seats again.

"Before we begin children. I thought a little snack would be appropriate for you all while we tell the story of the Morelian sith war." Avona announces as the groups cheers and takes their seats grabbing fruit and jawa juice.

(Flashback).

"3'500 years ago the Jedi had emerged triumphant and were thriving following the death of sith emperor Vitiate and like with wars before the outer rim was ignored by the republic.

However Morelia stood as a beacon for the outer rim as it continued to advance and expand in its system and under King Alchrin Gozanni the 2nd they expanded to the neighboring worlds and moons of Morelia and soon the realm grew to 20 planets all rich in resources and due to their alliance with Raxa prime they thrived on trade."

(An:I'd like to apologize if grown so used to Avona's last name of lexon I completely forgot her old last name was Gozanni and I mispelt it in the last chapter sort).

"However it wasn't long till the republic began to grow envious of Morelia's wealth the fact it wasn't in the republic was enough for the republic to want it.

But king Alrichin refused and threatened that if the republic came than like the hutts they would be defeated.

And since the republic was still recovering from the last war they were sacred of starting a war against a kingdom that hadn't suffered under war.

But on Raxa prime things changed.

(Palace of Raxa).

A groups of men in flowing white cloaks stood and looked over the Raxa prime system and gazed in awe at the drive yards their pride and joy.

However a chill runs down their spines as they turn around eyes glazed.

"What would you have us do master." They asked a hooded figure.

"It is time for a new sith empire and you're going to help me get it." The figure replied.

"It wasn't long until Raxa prime demanded Morelia join them or else they would cut trade and help the republic force Morelia to submit to them.

With this sudden declaration the morelians grew angry and vowed to defend their homes and the king's advisers begged him to make the first move.

(Skies of Raxa prime).

Ships of various sizes pour out of hyperspace as a Morelian admiral walks forward.

"Open fire turn their precious drive yards to dust." He orders.

"YES SIR." The soldier reply as turbo laser fire tears into the ship yards and destroys hundreds of docked vessels.

"Morelia retreated before Raxa could retaliate but since Raxa prime was a colony of the republic this was seen as an aggressive move by a war mongering expansionist power trying to destroy the republic.

Raxa prime made the call for help and the republic came with a huge fleet and so began what was to be known as the 300 year war.

For decades both sides beat at each other and Morelia used the stateless strategy and struck hard against republic outposts all across the rim and severed th republic navy when it bombed Rendili.

The senate was stunned Morelia a tiny kingdom was destroying their great military and they were furious and so in 3'350 BBY the senate begged the Jedi for aid.

(Council chambers).

Master Rak: now is the time for us to defeat these monsters.

Master Faylo: yes many have suffered because of this terrible war and Morelia must be brought to Heel.

Master Zykron: the we are in agreement then the Jedi order will not rest until Morelia is defeated and made to see reason.

All council members said eye except for a twi lek master named Tracey Syndulla.

"The Jedi were all to happy to join the war and they lead the republic armies into many battles.

But even though many were behind the war some Jedi protested saying the war didn't make sense but they were ignored.

Battle after battle was fought and millions died as both sides fought bitterly.

However as the republic gained ground Morelia became desperate and launched a strike against the Raxa prime system that killed its ruling council including the sith who brainwashed them.

It was soon revealed the sith was a dathomirian witch named Karina Scythe who had manipulated all sides into battle and had even corrupted Morelias king.

A Jedi by the name of Oreia Sunrider came to Morelia and helped them discover the truth about their corrupt monarch and she even managed to convince her allies to call the war off.

In 3'200 BBY the peace treaty was signed and thanks to Sunrider the treaty was peaceful the only term that was controversial to most Morelians was the one that imprisoned its monarchy to house arrest on Coruscant and forced Morelia and her colonies to submit to republic law.

More wars would grip the galaxy as Morelia was used as a base to fight the new Sith who came to conquer the republic in 2'000 BBY.

But it was during the Russsan reformations that Morelias hatred for the republic resurfaced as it had an article that forced Morelia to hand more resources to other sectors to bolster other system governments.

While these seemed fair because the republic governor of Morelia made his people pay triple taxes and it wasn't long till coals for a second revolution began to spread."

(Morelia palace).

"As you all can see Morelias grudge to the republic runs deeper than the recent clone wars and our suffering was nothing to be joked about.

The 300 year war turned Morelias 40 billion population this included colonies to decrease to 32 billion."

As avona finished some younglings ahs tears the togruta who Carmiya was with last time was sobbing as Carmiya hugged her rubbing circles on her back.

"I think our next story will be postponed until another day." Avona says while walking to Revan.

"Here Revan take this." She says handing him a hill disk. "This will allow your kids VIP access to the liberation festival happening tonight maybe it will make them a bit more cheerful after this story."

Revan smiled at Avoan from under his helmet. "Thank you Mistress I'm sure they'll be right as rain tomorrow." He says as Bastila leads the group out only for the Togruta girl to stubbornly cling to Camriya.

"It's on she can stay with me we will be there shortly." Carmiya says with a light chuckle.

this chapter was largely inspired by the terrible suffering that had happened during the battle of Paschandale and many others where thousands of young men and civilians died for very little gains.
