I found myself one night, alone
Wading down a distant shore
But from the waves a woman came
An angel she must have been
Her crown was wrought in silver
And ethereal to me did she seem
She ran her fingers through my hair
A blessed diadem did she leave
Her hand was placed upon my shoulder
The other on my face
She pushed my knees into the sand
And on my forehead left a kiss
Her pearls now adorned my head
They dripped before my eyes
The strands fell tangled in my curls
Gleaming with starlight
As I cleared my eyes and glanced above
My angel was no longer there
She slipped back out into the sea
Leaving me on that shore again alone
