Stars weep to witness
A beauty great as thine
The world stops in witness
Each time you call me 'mine'
Heaven's flames stretch fingers
To grace your silhouette
And each time that I touch you
I owe forgotten gods new debt
This time Dawn did listen
Her ear to me did stoop
And gave me darkness longer
To linger in your arms loop
In my extra time allotted
So sweetly could I rest
Held safe against the morning
Twixt old leather and your chest
How easily does forever meet me
Oblivion as we lay out hip to hip
Dark feels safe as I watch your face
Fear seems to flee whence you lay lip
