AFTER HANGING UP with lena, teagan felt that familiar buzz of excitement and nervousness set in. as she began getting ready, she couldn't help but obsess over the details - was this a date, or just dinner between friends? or... a dinner between two people who were almost together? her mind spun with questions. where was he taking her? was it casual or fancy? what if she overdressed? what if she underdressed? her hands hovered indecisively over her closet as she rifled through options, and she almost dialed lena back for emergency wardrobe advice but thought better of it.
after a brief internal debate, teagan settled on something that felt like her - a black romper with a skirt overlay that flowed around her in soft crepe frills. the deep v-line gave just the right amount of cuteness and boldness, and she loved how the long sleeves balanced out the playful edge of the outfit. she paired it with her favorite pair of black dr. martens platform boots - practical yet giving her that extra edge. she left her hair straightened and sleek, and finished her look with her signature eyeliner, a bold but natural makeup touch, and a final swipe of gloss.
she was just putting away her makeup when there was a a familiar knock on her trailer door: three quick knocks followed by a slower, quieter one. her heart skipped - he was here, right on time.
when she opened the door, there he was. nicholas, looking effortlessly handsome in a black and white dotted button-up, unbuttoned just enough to hint at his toned chest and the glint of his gold necklace. his jeans fit just right, and with that slight smirk, he looked like a heartthrob who'd wandered off a movie poster. it was simple but ridiculously attractive. for a second, teagan just stared, trying to keep herself from doing something embarrassing like sighing out loud.
he gave her a once-over, his lips parting slightly before he recovered with a soft smile. "wow. you look... you look amazing." he said, before he added with a grin, "definitely outdressing me here, but i'll manage."
teagan rolled her eyes, biting back a smile. "i'm sure you'll survive, mr. movie star."
"no promises." he replied with a smirk, holding the door open for her as she stepped out of her trailer. the gesture was simple, but it sent a little thrill through her.
